The torch was passed down from generation to generation, kept ablaze by the fiery ambitions of the next to wield the mighty and powerful staff that was the name Balerion. The very first Balerion to all but monopolize the steel industry under his company The Iron Throne and solidify a troop of supporters in the shadows, Aegon Balerion ensured a luxurious and relatively effortless future for any descendants to come. That was, until scandal and schemes amongst family members long after Aegon had passed loosened the iron grip the Balerions had on their power. Whoever started the family trend of inbreeding was long forgotten, the offspring of such taboo affairs more often than not displaying quite peculiar behavior. Family enemies and those critical of the Balerion household would seize any inkling of weakness to watch the Iron Throne dismantle and disappear, a common saying amongst those in the know being, “Every time a Balerion is born, the world holds its breath.”

When the eldest of the Balerion children, Aeris, was but nine years old both her parents mysteriously disappeared, sending her and her many siblings off to live with a distant great-aunt with a crumbling business to inherit once she came of age. Nearly a decade later and not a single clue hinting towards the fate of Aerys and Aelinor Balerion came to light, investigators having given up on solving the enigma of their disappearance long ago. And although the Iron Throne was divided and sold to all who were willing to pay, the Balerion children have just enough inheritance to live comfortably without working for a second in their lives until the end of their days.

HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF PLAYING THIS CHARACTER:

The first time Naerys went rigid and cold and convulsed upon the ground, Mirri prayed for the ability to save her. Whilst her sister cringed and foamed from the mouth, thankfully not biting off her tongue in the process, Mirri was alone and had to rely on herself. As Naerys's elder sister, she could not bear to watch her suffer. Words fell from her sister's tongue, ancient and disturbing words that Mirri could not understand, and in a moment of panic she scooted backwards along the ground, before pricking her finger on a loose nail.

Liquid of a scarlet shade spilled from the tip and with the hand of hysteria on her shoulder as her sister continued to screech and flail, Mirri brought her finger to her face in panic. The moment the warm blood touched her pale flesh, however, she felt an eerie calmness radiate through her. The power to save was in her blood. Going with the moment, Mirri plucked the loose nail from the floorboards, slicing it along her palm with a screech. Quickly rubbing her palm upon her skin, she could almost feel a primal power rage through her.

Scooping up some potting soil out of a nearby plant's vase, she placed her sister's head in her lap, forcing the soil down her sister's throat. Clamping a hand over her sister's lips as she continued to shake in spastic movements, she mumbled another prayer to whichever higher power would listen, asking if her sister could absorb the life and purity of the earthy soil. Within a few moments, her sister's shaking and convulsion came to an abrupt stop as she fainted, and a bloody Mirri sighed with relief, looking up to the sky beyond her ceiling and giving thanks.

But it was not Ripred who answered her prayers.

Perhaps flowing out of Naerys's body during that fateful moment when Mirri made a prayer to any deity that would listen, a voice now lives inside Mirri's head. Mirri is almost completely certain that the devil that steals her sister's body every now and again finds a certain happiness in roaming around her very own conscious. Unlike Naerys, however, this dark and powerful deity has never once took Mirri's bodily control away from her, perhaps due to the fact that she is practically the strongest member of her family.

Whenever problems arise, ~~or whenever Mirri has tasks or evil deeds she wishes to perform~~, Mirri always turns to the clever and wicked voice inside her head. Her abilities are certain, for she knows she has the ability to obtain every thing she longs for with just a slice of her palm. However, all of this greatness comes with a price. Due to all of her blood-loss, Mirri isn't the strongest girl when it comes to physical strength. When it comes to mental strength, though, it's safe to say that the numbing and dizzying affects of blood-loss has had quite the affect on her brain.

But that is no matter, for she will obtain all that she has ever desired... with blood ~~and fire~~.

Well, she quite dislikes Aeris (~~YOU FAKE WITCH! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT POWERS ARE, OK??? COME HERE AND LET ME TEACH YOU HOW YOU DO THIS KINDA SHAT, GURL. and let me damn you to hell, too, l o l.~~) and Aeron, due to their... impure ways. I mean, I know that the devil is pretty much her BFF, but Mirri's still so crazy as to think that she's some sort of Angel of Darkness who is really doing every fracked up thing she does for the greater good. I also have a feeling that she gets rather jealous when Naerys becomes possessed, but her darling friend seems to always assure her that this is just because he could never bear to take possession of her own body.

If Daena is the Mother of Dragons, Mirri is sure as hell the Mother of Darkness.

So Daelia is kind of like the sweetest bitch u will ever roll with 'ight? Like she got it going and knows how to stamp on an angel face for her batty as frick momma. HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF PLAYING THIS CHARACTER:

AERIS -

She's not afraid of the future. It's easy, for her, to stare right ahead with wide, unforgiving eyes. Because she can see it. She's sure of it. Areis knows that although danger and consequence might lurk around any corner for the humans she spends her days with, these rules simply don't apply to her. She's not cocky, but she's confident enough about the twisting, writhing dreams she began to experience as a young child that she doesn't need to worry. And so she doesn't. (But, oh, she works for the privilege of being a lucky one, forcing herself deeper and deeper into a tangled web of lies - "I'm goin' out to visit my friends, I swear it," - just to feel numb enough to see.)

It began, a little girl with closed eyes, sitting cross-legged and alone in the corner of the training center, digging an arrow into the flesh of her leg. It hurt her, but she was brave. (And blind, ever so blind, because without the warning visions that came when she felt nothing else, how would she be able to prepare for what's coming?) In the years since she's become a little more creative in her methods of numbing - she swipes pills from her Aunt, burns things she shouldn't in an effort to create smoke that burns her throat and holds her breath until her face turns blue and her eyes roll back just a little. Every time she reaches the place that feels alone enough in her mind, she feels it slipping a little farther away from her. (She'll always chase it, she's sure.)

Outwardly, she's confident and serious. Rarely affectionate and generally unemotive, she's motivated enough to train hard and well. She's avoided by many younger children and not especially liked by those her age - not because she's unkind or cruel-hearted, but simply because some suspect that in the years she's spent trying to find a place where she feels nothing but her dreams, she's managed to train herself to feel very little at all. (It was an accident, but now she can lay eyes upon a dying animal and be the one who breaks it's neck while the others shy away. She doesn't enjoy it. But she's strong and silent and untouchable and solid.) Aeris is dependable and generally level-headed with the curious ability to separate herself from the rest of the people in her life. (Me and them, the chosen and the unchosen.)

NAERYS -

She can feel him coursing in her blood and her bones. He lays dormant, waiting until he needs her assistance. (Often, he simply wants something he shouldn't have, like a sweet from the shop or a commotion in a crowd, but other times his demands are more complex.) When she was small, she didn't try to resist his strong and forceful hands, entwined around the inside of her throat. As time passed and clocks ticks, the list of terrible deeds she didn't understand grew, and fear began to bloom in the little girl's heart. She was always kind, generous, extremely forgiving. So forgiving, in fact, that each and every time he betrayed her she forgave the monster in her heart. ("It's alright," she would whisper to herself late at night, once everyone was asleep, "you can stay.") I reality, little Naerys was unsure of what it would be like to be alone in her head - would things to be too quiet without the voices she heard? And would she be lonely, there, with nobody to tell her what to do?

In truth, she was afraid. Not just worried, but held but an all-consuming, crippling fear that seeped right into her core. (She loves the devil that makes her brave and hectic and rebellious even if he only holds her for a while at a time and drops her to deal with the aftermath, because without him who would Naerys be? An empty shell, a broken music box, unable to play anymore? She couldn't be sure, and so she could never bring herself to demand he leave her to be hollow. (Sometimes she would cry and beg and plead but he would stroke her hair and tell her that it was all for the best, that they were a team, and that he was the only one who would never leave her. Best to follow his advice, because one day, he'd be all she had left.) She cried, because from the space behind her eyes, he could hear her worry, and he punished her for that.

Umm, in temrs of point of view, there'll obviously be FIRST PERSON AND LOT OF SCREAMING - SHIT HAPPENS! but seriously, voices are fun, one can be a holy roman emperor or something. MORE LIKE HOLEY EMPEROR, AMIRIGHT? AND HE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS? BUT IT SOUNDS AWESOME? Mad holes.

HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF PLAYING THIS CHARACTER: Aeron is the boy every other boy wants to be, and every girl wants to be with. Little do they know, his heart belongs to the one girl that he isn't supposed to want. He is a powerful career, never more so than when she is near, and he truly believes that he will restore his family's name some day. Why shouldn't he? Handsome, young, and talented all added together have created something special. Something worth while. Something that matters. He knows he is meant for great things, but he doesn't want to accomplish any of them unless he has her, Aeris, by his side.

ANY SPECIAL RELATIONS THIS CHARACTER WILL HAVE WITH HIS/HER SIBLINGS?: He will obvi be romantically involved with Aeris, and be fairly close to Ares because twins, but even he can't know about what goes on with her. Because if anyone, anyone found out about it, the last strings that were holding the family together would sever, and with them any chance of the Balerion family rising to their rightful position at the top of the world.
