Dear Diary

Today has been an alright day. I miss my parents so much, since they died in that horrific accident. Living with my aunt isn't too bad, it's just not the same as having actual parents around. Although, thank Ripred I'm living with a girl and not a boy, because I think that would definitely have made the situation a little awkward. Anyways, short entry for tonight because I'm tired and I have to go work at the factory tomorrow morning. Good night.

Dear Diary,

Today marks the second anniversary of the explosion at the factory that killed my parents. It was a dark day for me to say the least. I cried while at work and one of my co-workers, an older woman named Sami, sent me home with a hug and some comforting words. She know that today is the anniversary, everyone at the factory knows it. It was like someone had draped a large cloud over everyone's heads, there wasn't singing like there normally is, there wasn't even humming. At around 2 o'clock, I finally lost it and broke down, tears streaming down my face. I hate that people saw me like that, in that state of weakness and vulnerability. I feel like crying right now just because the memories of my parents hurts so much. I should probably tell you what happened.

It was just another day in the factory and all was quiet. Suddenly, without warning, a huge crash sounded. I remember confusion and someone pushing me towards the door. I didn't even think until I was out and was looking for my parents. I couldn't find them. I remember thinking, where are they? As the chaos died down, people began stumbling out of the burning wreckage. I scanned the crowd, searching frantically for my parents but i couldn't find them anywhere. Tears streamed from my brown eyes as I realized what that must mean, my parents hadn't survived the accident. I remember curling into a ball and crying until my aunt found me and led me away, speaking soothingly as I cried.

Anyways, since then, I've started keeping a diary, this very diary actually, although, it's been ages since I last actively wrote in one. I like this idea. Anyways, I should probably get to bed good night.
