Age: 14
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
❀ Elvis Ellenwood is not the most handsome fellow in District 2. He's not the ugliest either. But he really does have charm. Sandy short hair matchesPersonality:
his stunning hazel eyes. His eyes seem to sparkle under light. His hair is always a flop and he never fixes it right. He just runs a comb through it and that's it. There's really nothing more to it. It's rather dull and not that important to him but it really sets off his eyes. ❀
❀ His skin is very tan with freckles all over. It's also dry in some areas of his body like his feet, elbows, and knees. It’s not dessert dry but it’s not as moist as most people’s skin. He likes wearing long-sleeved because of his dry skin. He even wears them when he’s hot. This causes him to sweat a lot more than he should so he gets a lot of acne. He usually ends up popping them but it will leave a scar most of the time. He’s trying to clear up his face and it’s starting to work but you can still see the scars on his face and back. ❀
❀ Elvis’ body isn’t the most buff. He is very strong though. He helps out his father by testing out the swords and spears his father makes. He’s gotten lots of practice from this, besides the career training, and is learning quickly. His arms and legs are short but his strength makes up for it. He never gets teased for being short. If he ever does, he just ignores it. They aren’t worth his time. ❀
❀ Elvis is pretty much normal. He doesn’t like fighting, in fact he hates it. But if someone hurts him in anyway or if it’s necessary he will slaughter. He’s not an aggressive person most of the time so people don’t expect much out of him but he actually is quite strong. Never judge a book by it’s cover. Never judge a person by their looks. That’s a lesson Elvis’ father has taught him. ❀History:
❀ Elvis has a side for sweets, especially chocolate. His mother and father don’t let him eat much chocolate because of how unhealthy it is but he sometimes gets some as a treat. He enjoys the creamy texture and sweeter than sugar taste. Once he tried unsweetened chocolate when he was 6 and, hoping for a delicious bite, spit it out on the floor. “Eww!” he shrieked. “It tastes like garbage!”. ❀
❀ He can be way too over confident. When he walks around, he struts as if people with cameras are there taking his picture. “Oh please! Please, you’re too kind!” He said with an energetic voice, “Ladies, of course I’ll give you my autograph!”. When he first heard about the Hunger Games, he was shocked. How could someone do that? But when his first reaping came he was more than excited. He had had training and was told to wait until you’re 18 to volunteer. “I’m gonna volunteer today.” Said the 12-year-old full of confidence. “What? Are you insane? This is only your first reaping! Wait until you’re 18 before you start volunteering!”. So many people shouted at him like this for saying that. “You fool! You idiot! You selfish boy!”. He was so sad he stayed quiet during the whole reaping and every one after. ❀
❀ Elvis has such a ordinary and normal life. He has a father and mother who love him and a roof over his head. That’s good enough, right? No. Not for Elvis. Elvis can see so many things wrong with his life. For example, his mother who has been with him since birth, hasn’t actually been there for him. She complains about him, “Look at that hair! It’s like a rat rest! And it’s sunny out why do you have on warm clothing? Why are you so difficult! I wish I had a different kid! You don’t do anything. You’re lazy and arrogant and-- just go away!”. She yells at him, “What the HELL do you think YOU’RE doing?! Go outside and kick a ball! You lazy ASS!”. She always puts him to work, “Go cook dinner and clean the tub in the bathroom and fix the painting over the mantle, it’s crooked, and…”. She absolutely hates her son and honestly wants a different kid. ❀Codeword: odair
❀ His father is much better than his mother. His father has always been the person Elvis looks up to. Elvis’ father feels confident that someday when he’s older, Elvis will be a victor. Elvis doesn’t want to be in the Hunger Games as much as most people from his district do. He will do it though because he doesn’t want to let down his father. His father even gives Elvis tips on sword fighting. Elvis isn’t great but he might get there someday. ❀
❀ Elvis wants to take up after his father and help make swords and spears and other weapons. Elvis likes to test them out and make sure they’re okay. Of course a professional comes and evaluates the weapon for real. Elvis just likes to test them out for himself. Elvis doesn’t even know what his mother does. Honestly he doesn’t want to know. He tries to ignore her the best he can but it’s his mother. He has to listen. Elvis just can’t wait to grow up. ❀
