Jabber wanted to quicken his pace so desperately that he was walking rather awkwardly. He tried to make it seem like he was enjoying a leisurely walk, whistling along the way. The faint chirp of a mockingjay echoed from the north, and he spotted her, a broad smile taking over her face. Her happiness was contagious, and Jabber almost lost control of himself. She spotted him, and she began walking faster. Jabber sped up his pace as well, wanting to get to her first.
Fawn was rushing along the path now, and her smaller form slammed into him with such force that he almost went toppling back into the stream. One foot slipped into the cool, rushing waters, and Fawn's arms slipped around him. "Hi, Jab."
Jabber allowed his arms to slither around her waist as her delicate lips pecked his cheeks. His cheeks heated up and turned bright red, while hers turned a soft shade of rose. Her words were jumbled fragments in his mind as he stared into her gray eyes. They were so... what's the word? Enchanting. "How are you today?"
Jabber brushed his nose against hers, unable to contain his wide grin. "I've been good, but my day just got a lot better. You know I can't get enough of you," he whispered, stroking her arm. "Who cares if our relationship is wrong? It doesn't affect anyone else. We can change the rules if we want to."
With that being said, he gently placed his chapped lips on her smooth, tightening his arms around her waist. He knew what was coming up in two weeks. He didn't want to let go of her until then, just in case she didn't return to him. He pulled away from the light kiss, whispering into her ear. "I don't want to let you go, Fawn. Not until the reaping. I can't even think about what I would do if you left. Don't even worry about me."

Her head was pressed against his chest now, and he found himself tousling her soft blonde hair. He allowed the golden locks to spill through his fingers as she kissed him again, and the longer they stood there, the more afraid Jabber was to let Fawn go. He was slightly disappointed when Fawn finally pulled away from the kiss, and he found himself craving more. Her eyes were shimmering, a mixture of emotions dancing through them. Love was dominant.
"I don't want to let you go either," she said, her delicate words sounding like a dying whisper. "I love you, Jab."
His chest began tightening more, and his mouth when dry. Why did he constantly have to fall in love with Fawn all over again? Every time she told him she loved him, it was like he was falling apart bit by bit. Jabber started to cling to Fawn again, smothering her in little kisses. "I shouldn't have to say anything, should I?"

"That tickles.
Jabber smirked at Fawn, leaning in for another kiss. A mischevious giggle broke free from her lips, and her finger went straight into his stomach. The strong sensation made him leap back, letting out a little girlish shriek. "So, we're having a tickle fight now, are we? You think you can beat me, my lovely Fawn? Well, think again," he chuckled. He then lunged for her, trying to pin her against the ground and assault her stomach with light pokes. Being so close to Fawn made him feel giddy and squeamish at the same time. He desperately tried to forget that they were blood relatives; first cousins. When you were in love, you could overlook anything and everything, right?
You can't forget everything, though.

"Stop it, stop it, okay? You win?"

Hearing Fawn admit that he won was not enough for Jabber. He continued to tickle her stomach, watching her gasp for air between long, light-hearted giggles. Her thin arms were pushing against his chest, and he lifted a bit of his weight off of her. Fawn finally mustered all her strength and sent him flying backwards. Though he made her victory easier and closer in proximity, Jabber was rather surprised that she was so strong. A slightly seductive smile crossed his face, and he murmured in her ear, "Fiesty, aren't we?"
Jabber stood back as Fawn got to her feet and dusted off her clothes. She began staring into the empty stream bed, and Jabber stepped into it, sitting on the grass. The smog made him want to gag, and he found himself tugging at the collar of his shirt to let in cool air. Eventually, he just took off his shirt and put it in his lap.
He glanced over at Fawn, smiling. "Aren't you going to j-" he trailed off, noticing her longing gaze. "What'cha thinkin' about?"
