Fire, it's dangerous if it gets out of hand. Sometimes, it can be so hard to control that no matter how hard you try you can't control it. Tybalt's fingers played with the lighter in his hand. He liked fire, it fascinated him, the little spark of life in his hands. He smiled as the fluid in the lighter lit and a small flame, warm and orange, sprang to life at the end of the lighter. What was he doing, he wasn't really sure, he was actually bored, really bored. Things had been quiet between the Montagues and the Capulets, no people to fight, might as well entertain himself.
The small pieces of paper he had in his pocket ignited instantly as he held the end of the lighter under it. He watched in fascination as the flames enveloped the paper before dropping it as the flames reached his fingers and singed the hair off his finger tips. So fascinating, yet so dangerous He picked up another piece of paper and lit it, watching the flames dance as the paper turned black and folded like a flower. So beautiful like Juliet His smile faded as he dropped the paper and stamped it out with his foot. All his life, he'd been the cousin whom Juliet had relied on and he'd fought fiercely for her. He wouldn't let that bastard Romeo have her, Romeo was a Montague, his enemy.
The lighter sputtered in his hand as the fluid ran out and he tossed it onto the ground. Damned lighter he walked away from the abandoned lighter and searched his pocket for the matches he usually carried. They were less efficient than a lighter but still, it was better than no fire at all. He found the package of matches in his pocket and pulled it out, ripping a match from the book. He lit the match and smiled as the warmth spread to the paper, turning the paper to a burned flower.
The district around him was starting to come to life around him and he realized he should probably stop burning things. Don't want the peace keepers yelling at me his thoughts dripped sarcasm because he knew the peace keepers wouldn't do anything to him. A smile played across his lips as he thought about the peace keepers. He had played with fire before. Perhaps, he could play with it later but for now, he had a feeling he should get home.
As he walked, his thoughts were full of images of fire. It's dangerous if you let it get out of control, not that I'll let it get out of control He smiled at the thought, suddenly, he became aware of his surroundings. He was in an unfamiliar part of district one, he didn't like it one bit. He looked around, unsure which way to go and saw a familiar face. A friend of his, Delaney. He knew he'd probably need help getting out of this part of district one, even though he didn't like asking for help, he knew he'd have to ask for it from her. At least it's someone I know He walked over to her, smiling. "Hey, De, what's up?" he asked, looking at her and noticing something in her hands. "What's that you have there?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.
