Faith Campbell
The date with the vet was nice; he was sweet and kind which was unexpected considering the past events with guys. Neil was successfully stable caring for people's animals which included a nice income. But he only made Faith think about Jack and then begin to worry because of his lack of returning yet. Everything was confusing within the young girl's mind. The vet was nearly perfect and actually available, whereas Faith never knew if Jack would ever be ready for a relationship. If only she knew a way to control who she fell for. The best Faith had was waiting for Jack's return, maybe something happened on the trip, something to finalize their feelings.
Any day now Jack would be making his return home anyways, and after missing a day away from his children and family Faith was in a rush to see them the following day. The date the day before was okay; it was nice to be with someone her age though. Just a day of missing the babies was far too much and Faith rushed through her chores to get to the Lexington’s. Maybe Jack would actually be arriving home today, and she could figure out where his feelings were now. The thought of that question, no matter what the outcome, made Faith move a little faster as she toke the long walk to the Lexington's household.
A huge, excited smile spread across the red-head's face when she spotted a horse in the distance, grazing the grass next to the Lexington's home. It had to be the one Jack was given for the journey unless someone with a horse was visiting them. She was nearly sprinting at this point, eager to know if Jack was there and embrace him with a hug. Then more came into vision as she slowed down to a stop just a few yards away from the home. There was a few peacekeepers escorting hand-cuffed Jack outside of his home and all of a sudden Faith's heart skipped a beat before racing.
What happened? Some kind of mix-up has to of happened, the worst part was not seeing him before. If Faith had only been a little faster with her chores she would of had a few minutes with him. Now she was witnessing him leaving, and who knows when he'll be returning. "Jack?!?" Faith yelled with her voice cracking as she suddenly ran over as if she could help. "Jack! What's going on?" She asked with a raised voice to get past the wall of peacekeepers, following them as they ignored her and continued on to the town. She could feel the back of her eyes burning with tears as they threatened to escape. This wasn't the time though.
She could hardly see him as the keepers towered over Faith easily. They were headed to the detention center, Jack had apparently done something wrong and who knows when he'd get freedom again. Who knew when they would reunite and Faith could figure out their feelings. That couldn't happen, suddenly she had to see him and used all of her force to get past them. Just for a second she got a glance at Jack's face and his beautiful bright eyes that were filled with worry. She was of course shoved to the ground as the peacekeepers grew even closer to the town.
