"Don't say that." Faith nearly begs, her heart skipping a beat at the idea that Jack was only allowed to return so that they could all watch him die. "Don't even think it." She had to add because him secretly thinking about it was worse then sharing it. "We'll get you better." She promised.
It's scary and worrying to see Jack move away from Faith's comforting hand, but she couldn't hold that against him. With all of the torture he must of endured it's no surprise he's fearful. The fact is confirmed when he shortly realizes his safety and accepts the comfort. It's quite for a few moments, then Jack declares that one drink wasn't going to make him an addict. "You know that's not true." Faith comments in a calming voice, her hand not budging from Jack's face.
The kiss quiets everything; the fear, the desire, the anger. For a moment nothing matters, nothing else exist. But of course a kiss could never last a life time, as much as it may feel like it does. As the lips move further away from one another Jack's mind travels even further. He talked about not being strong enough, that he was ashamed of himself. Faith's heart sunk with the knowledge that he had these thoughts. How could such an amazing guy be ashamed of himself?
"No, no... please, don't think that." Faith nearly pleaded, making a conscious effort to not tear up. "There's nothing to be ashamed about." The tears finally escape Jack, not like how it's been all night with occasional tears, but he was finally ready to full out cry. Every second made Faith's heart hurt even more, but she was actually happy to be feeling this pain while seeing Jack. While Jack was there, not in the best condition, but safer. She did her absolute best to comfort him through every cry, and refused to ever do anything else.
Something the Faith had done had to of worked, the tears continued but Jack's face finally slowly grew to relax. Eventually his beautiful eyes were visible to the world again and sparkled through the dark bedroom. A bit of energy is given to him and before Faith realized his arms were around her in a giant hug. There was no other place that she loved more then his protecting hugs, even if he's in such a condition. His hugs were always so protecting.
Never before had Faith felt such a sensation when Jack's lips returned to hers, but not like the simple kissing of before. It was similar to the way Thomas had kissed her, with tongue which seemed gross at the time. This time Faith felt no need to call for help, and the tongue wasn't bad either. Instead of pulling away like she would of done to anyone else who attempted such a move, Faith melted into the kiss. She slyly moved from sitting on the bed to laying beside Jack, with elevation in order for her lips to reach his. Never before had she wanted so much to not be a new at something.
Faith's hands couldn't help but continue to feel Jack's stubbly cheeks as they kissed. She was baffled by how well he could move his lips and tongue to bring out such feelings. She attempted to do the same, unsure if it was to help him feel better or to impress the only guy she has ever had a serious crush on. "Thank you." She manages to pull away for two seconds to mumble the words, before quickly closing the distance again. Nothing was more important then Jack at that time, and the fact that she could distract him meant more then he could ever imagine.
