First Aide(Yoya, cameo, and potential allie?)

The train ride to the Capitol wasn't nearly as long as Sophia predicted, but it certainly what as beautiful as everyone describes. They've never even been yet still talk about it as if it was there home. That's Careers for you though, desiring to be shipped off to the capitol even with the chances of coming back being so slim. Maybe in there eyes it's not, maybe Careers really feel that they're going to be victories. Being from a Career family herself, Sophia felt the need to claim herself at being one as well. She kept her head high since she heard her, not shedding a single tear like a lot of kids her age would have or have done. If she had even the tiniest chance of surviving, she was going to cling to it, starting with her mind set. The mind set of a Career.

Even being a break of of day a lot of other tributes already occupied the Training room, probably wanting to get as much information contained as possible. That's why Sophia was there at least. Fear ran through her to say the least, curiosity of whom all the other tributes are, and worry over finding an alliance. It was traditional for Careers to join alliances right? Raise the chances of surviving? Weight was lifted off of her petite shoulders at the sights of the other kids, simply because they were all kids as well. The quell twist nearly completely phased her, but only 12-14 yr olds will occupy the Arena.

There was endless options of stations, all ranging from fighting techniques, to building shelter and a fire, as well as edible and medical plants and first aid. The first aid station automatically caught little Sophia's attention; what better talent was needed then first aid? Sure knowing how to throw a knife is useful, but patching up a bleeding wound seems just as valuable. With knowledge that she'll have enough time to do at least two more stations Sophia's first destination was First Aid. She was the only one at the station, and personally glad though she knew she needed to find allies. For now a one-on-one lesson sounded perfect.

A boy that Sophia recalled being from District Two eventually came over to join; a friendly smile came from Sophia, but with a lack of words or a greeting. For some reason shyness had over-taken her since stepping on the train, she might of not even said a word since then either. She began closely listening and observing the instructor, paying attention like her life depended on it...which it kind of did. Another boy came over to join as well, from District One if she remembered correctly. There was 23 other tributes besides herself, but she had remembered the first few district's faces from the over-few video the capitol played last night.

Once again a friendly smile spread to Sophia's baby-like face, and still no words. When the District One boy asked if he could join she nodded her head eagerly and made room. The words looking for allies rang through her ears, growing her smile even bigger if that was possible. "Me to." She responded in a hushed voice, almost not used to her own voice from the couple of days of silence. As for the instructor though she was too please with the interruption, her face becoming sour with annoyance.

The response from the District One boy brought a little shock to Sophia, but her entire life her parents had taught her too greatly respect adults. Still a small giggle escaped her, unsure if it was because he might of been a little funny, or if she wanted to get on his good side. "I'm Sophia." She introduced, also hoping it'd prevent any conflict between a potential alliance and their current instructor. First aid seemed very important, and certainly a station Sophia wanted to complete.

As I saw Sophia face on I frowned quick she was no older than 12. Except she had to be 12 in order to be reaped. My frown turned back into a friendly smile. Oh what the capitol did to her. When I look at her deeper she reminds me of my sister Sami although Sami is even older than myself they both have that innocence like they can't, and won't harm anyone or anything. This made my stomach feel queasy a bit My smile regained perfectly after a half a second from the shock. The little girl said how her too was looking for an alliance. I gave a more gentle smile to this. An almost brotherly smile. I knew that now that I met her I would have to be allies with her. She just reminded me too much of Sami. I know odd since Sami is older than myself, but well I suppose I am home sick already.

This little girl laughed at my joke also which made me straighten my posture a bit. I did get the laughs I wanted. Then she gave me her name which was Sophia. I continue to watch the session go on out of the corner of my eye. I nodded towards the instructor every now, and then to show that I was listening. See I was never good at school work, but anything will the games I can listen to three other conversations, and still remember the needed things for the games. I just then after making a note to myself was going to reply with my name, when the District two boy spoke who up until now I forgot about. He said "Name's Kyle. Nice of you to interrupt. I mean join." I big grin came on my face I knew we were going to make a great group. With this kid getting my jokes, and Sophia deceiving our alliance capabilities with her age. I gave a chuckle then went over to Kyle, and patted him on the back perhaps a bit too hard. " Nice one almost as good as my joke." I could not admit that his joke may have been better so I did not. Then I continued with my name, and an obvious show of my arrogance thinking that the alliance was made even I know that I was being arrogant. " So Allies my name is for our team work capabilities is Darren Dublin of district 1 age 14." I put my hand in between them for them to put there's on mine in a group huddle. I wanted to get this alliance, and our plans rolling come on just put your hands on.

I relax a little as I realize that they thought it was funny. I think the girl laughed a little harder at mine than his. Or that's what I thought. The guy came over and patted me on the back. He did it a little bit hard for my taste, but it seemed like he was jealous. "Nice one almost as good as my joke." Yep, defiantly jealous. I don't really mind that he is, but it shouldn't get in the way. If it does, I'll notice and deal with it. Then he speaks again. "So Allies my name is for our team work capabilities is Darren Dublin of district 1 age 14." Wow... wasn't expecting that so quickly... I'm a little stunned, and don't really know how to respond to that. I see Darren move his arm outward, making me slightly tense.

If he wants to start a fight this early, he won't get my trust. Then I realize he was just putting it in between me and Sophia. I relax a bit. She puts her hand on top of it, and then glancing over at me, probably to see if I would do it, too. I should probably join if I want to survive. They are all careers, right? And if they do something stupid, I can just deal with them. I put my hand in the center as well. "An alliance we have. Lets win this!" I was ready. Ready to dominate!

The alliance might of been made on very quick grounds, hardly knowing one another, just with the similarities of wanting to survive. Certainly that's what everyone wanted here, being of the age no older then fourteen and all. Sure the older Careers such as seventeen and eighteen count on getting chosen, but at least to Sophia it seemed that no one of this age would want this. Now not. And to Sophia not ever. But there was no options, she had already been reaped, with no one desiring to take her place. Everyone's best chance now was finding an alliance.

She watched as Kyle was a bit hesitant to place his hand in as well, it was a big commitment on such sudden notice. His hand did go in though, all of them having an agreement to see it out through the end. How the end would happen Sophia didn't even want to consider. A smile still crept to her lips, it was an alliance none the less. Even words of encouragement escaped the boys; "An alliance we have. Lets win this!" From Kyle, and again "Lets win this," from Darren. Positivity most be a big component in the games; no one wins with the mind set of losing.

"We shall." Sophia agreed, then they all extended their hands upward, an official team. In the end though teams won't matter, only one person makes it out alive. Would they give in to Sophia's innocent face if it came down to the three of them? Be gentlemen and give their lives just because they can't kill a little girl. Maybe, but probably not. That sort of thing didn't need to be considered now though, their was so many other enemies.

They went back to concentrating on the instructor, she must of realized the stress the kids must be going through because she did not complain once while they were forming an alliance. Still they needed to finish this very important station. Everything that left her mouth was glued into Sophia's brain; how to stop bleeding, get rid of infections, and so on. The other children didn't find high importance in it, concentrating on the fighting stations, but dying from an open wound often occurred in the games. Eventually the station did end though, with all the information that instructor could possibly give in such short time. Probably time for one more station before lunch.

"We should split up." Sophia's voice finally spoke out. "Learn as much stuff as we can, and then we can teach each other." She suggested, thinking about the entire time the lesson was going on. Her voice was still soft and quiet, but louder then before. "Then meet for lunch?" She asked with a smile, happy to have teammates. Not even the boy from her district payed her any attention, it was nice to talk to people her age.
