Age: 36
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 3
Appearance:
Personality:A shaved head, a beard that some would call scruff, and eyes as black as night, they are what make Sorin such an imposing figure. He is a stickler for the rules, if there was a guidebook than it was probably written by him. This carries over to his appearance, each day it's the same routine. He prepares his uniform which unlike the typical uniform is black, and straightens it till it is perfect. He gets payed well for his services, and uses the money to improve his uniform to stand out. He likes his black uniform because it makes him stand out from everyone else, distinguishes his rank.
Being a Peacekeeper is his life, there is nothing more important than his duty to the Capital and Panem. He carrries a level of respect from the people of the district and even from his fellow Peacekeepers. This is a result of fear and because they know that if they stay in line he will keep them safe. His eyes are devoid of emotion though, black pits that show neither compassion nor the light of life. Combine them with his muscular frame which stands at an imposing 6'3" and he is not someone you would want to meet.
Even when he is off duty he will strut around with a straight back and watch every move of the people. To him there is no time when a Peacekeeper should be off duty. His typical attire while off duty is a pair of jeans and a black sleeveless shirt, casual, and yet still impressive in his mind. Though in reality it is not the clothes he wears that have made him fearsome, it is his attitude and outlook. For his entire career as a Peacekeeper he has had no fear of abusing or even killing when the time called for it. When people see him coming, and his dark, lifeless eyes fall upon them, they know fear. They know that they are in trouble.
History:Sorin is hard working, there are no short cuts, everything is to be done, and done correctly. He never wants to see a job done quickly, because in his opinion quickly means it was done wrong. This sense of hard working diligence had afforded him many promotions, just not to the level that he wanted. His goal lies in reaching the level of Head Peacekeeper, and as soon as he reaches that rank he will bring an iron fist down on the people of the district. He has little respect for those who do not take their duty to the Capital seriously, and is ready to hand down swift justice.
He has tried to reach out to his superiors in the Capital requesting a promotionto head Peacekeeper, but each request comes back denied. You could say there is a bubbling anger forming over this denial. Feeling he deserves the promotion he takes out his anger on the people of the district and even his fellow Peacekeepers. In his mind he feels it is justified, if he would get the promotion than everything would be alright, little does he know that his disregard for others is what's keeping him down. He feels that life should not be given to chance, that the outcome of your life is decided by your actions, sadly though more often than not he chooses the wrong approach.
This philosophy hasn't given him much time to live a life outside of his job. He has no family to speak of, has never been married, and is unloved by just about everyone. There is no happiness in his life, just his job, sure he gets happiness out of it, but it's not the happiness that many see as a reason for living. His travels have shown him the lives of other people in Panem, the conditions of other's living, and he shows them no sympathy. Instead he looks away in disgust, wondering why they are so foolish to cling to life if it is so miserable for them. Little does he know that he deep inside his heart is just like them. A sad, miserable person, who takes out his aggresion on a poor people who only seek to live a happy life.
Codeword: OdairFrom a very young age Sorin was destined to be a Peacekeeper. Both his father and his mother were in the service of Panem, and he wanted to be just like them. His early life though wasn't full of fun and laughter as a child's should be. Instead it was full of commands and beatings for failed jobs and a lack of discipline. At first he would cry, but soon he became immune to the pain and took it when it was given out. He loved his parents even though they did not appear to love him, he just wished there was more compassion in his life.
Nothing in his life was ever easy, he had no friends, and even though he was from one of the wealthier districts his parents would not pamper him. He was forced to work for anything good in his life, it was never just given to him. The only time that he was allowed to have some fun in his life was when his parents were sent away to the other districts during the Games. This was his time for fun, where he could live a little. He never had fun though, the reputation of his parents made sure of that. Everyone was afraid of him, and was afraid of his parents, as a result he was alone. On one such event his parents left for one of the districts where extra security was needed, and they never returned. In truth he should have been happy, he could live a life now, but instead he grew hateful of people. At the age of 18 he enrolled himself in Peacekeeper training, to follow in the footsteps of his parents.
The training was hard and cruel, and they sufficiently beat out any humanity left in him. He became more of a robot, his life from morning till night was the same routine. Each one of his fellow trainees knew his family, and they made sure to make his life miserable as his parents had done to them. He grew bitter and would lash out at them, and grew a reputation of being ruthless and cunning. His heart turned to stone, and he no longer cared for anyone, even the memory of his parents faded. All the existed now was a sense of duty to the Capital and President Snow.
Once he graduated his life became a cycle of cruelty and retribution. He took his duty as a Peacekeeper very seriously, no transgression was to small to escape his notice. He grew his own reputation as a heartless Peacekeeper, even worse than his parents had been. He bore no sympathy or remorse for the people of Panem, and had no problem showing them how he felt.
