Appearance: Clarity has a vulnerable and shy appearance. She has messy, straight, light brown hair that goes to her waist. She has kind, shy light blue eyes, and fair skin that has tanned from the dust and dirt of district 12. She is thin, and is about 150cm tall. She is underweight, due to the lack of food available to her family.
Clarity constantly has a lost, lonely and sad glint in her eyes. She usually hides her face behind her hair. She isn't muscly, and isn't very strong. She is an average runner, but people can easily outrun her. She is fragile and easily breakable, physically and emotionally. She wears cheap, shabby clothes that her mother had to make.
Personality: Charity is a shy, intelligent girl who is very easy to offend or upset. She doesn't trust many people, but she is very trustable. She is secretive and sweet, and cant stand to see anyone die, never-mind actually kill someone. She is not easily distracted, and has great focus, as well as good hand eye co-ordination. Since she has good focus and hand eye co-ordination, she would most likely be good at archery.
Charity has a love for animals, but cant stand mutations. She loves to sing and dance, but never dances or sings in front of anyone else. She is very insecure, and has depression a lot. She is neat and organised, and helpful around the house. She also loves sewing and cooking.
She is a bit of a coward, and prefers to be alone. She loves reading and painting, as they distract her from her depression and the miserable world around her. She sees the beauty in things that no one else finds beautiful or interesting, and is very artistic. She is a bit weird, but in a good way. She is very friendly, but doesnt seem friendly a lot of the time because she is so shy.
History: Charity's father, Daniel, is a miner whereas Charity's mother, Faith, stays at home and looks after Charity and her two younger brothers, Micheal, aged 4, and Toby, aged 8. Charity's birthday is on the 21 of december, whereas Micheal is born on the seventh of march and toby is born on the 12 of may. Charity's family is very poor, and Charity's mother has to sew clothes for Charity and her brothers. Charity often helps her mother sew. Charity also helps cook.
Charity never really had any friends at school, and doesn't talk much. She was always teased, and bullied, and never fit in. A part of her wouldn't mind going to the hunger games because at least then she could die, or win and save her family from starvation. Even though with that in mind, Charity is frightened that she will be picked to participate in the hunger games. Charity's parents would probally not be able to look after Charity's brothers as well if Charity died.
Charity dreams of a world without hunger games, and a world of freedom. Charity doesn't want to have children, unless she knows they will be safe from the hunger games. She wishes that something in history had changed, that this had never happened. Another part of her is scared to go in the hunger games, as she knows she has little chance of winning. This years reaping will be her second reaping, as she is 13.
