Deception Hammond, District 10{Finished}

Deception is 5'10", and can therefore be considered tall by most people. He is skinny, but he is fairly muscular from work. He has been told he is very huggable. He has blonde hair that hangs in his face, sometimes covering his eyes. His eyes are chocolate brown.

A little-known fact about Dep is that he's red-green color blind. He can't discern the difference between the two colors.

He has moderte acne that seems to be uncurable. He's tried everything he can to get rid of it, and he can't. This bothers him deeply. His hands are calloused and often have blisters on them from work.

If there's one thing you should know about Dep Hammond, it's this: He loves girls. He's always trying to get a girl, even when he already has a girlfriend. He has anuptaphobia, or a fear of staying single. For this reason, he will always have at least two girlfriends at one time. That way, if one breaks up with him or he gets tired of them, he has another one ready. He is very good at keeping his multiple relationships secret from his girlfriends.

Dep is quite deceitful. He is good at telling lies and doesn't hesitate to use them. If he can lie for his own benefit, he takes that opportunity. Despite this, he is actually a pretty good boyfriend. He tries not to lie to his girlfriends unless they are starting to suspect he has another girlfriend. Then he'll lie to cover it up. But if his girlfriend asks for an honest opinion, he will it give it to them. He'll do the same to any girl, really. He doesn't really lie to girls unless it gets him closer to her. Or further away, if he doesn't like her.

In his spare time, Deception likes to play guitar and write songs. Years ago, he dreamed of playing at the Capitol, but he gave that idea up. He knows there's no way he'd ever get to the Capitol, even if he was good enough. He sometimes writes songs for his girlfriends, but mostly he writes songs about life. He'll write about both the good and bad parts of life.

Overall, Dep is pretty easy-going and carefree. He doesn't worry too much about tomorrow. He's quick to laugh at jokes. He's prone to moments of depression. He feels trapped in the life he has, restricted by the Capitol's rules and his own fears. Most of the time, he can hide this, but there's time when the depression gets out and he can't hide it anymore. Times when he feels he'd rather just give up.

Deception lives on a small farm with his bachelor uncle named Harvard. Harvard raises dogs that eventually get sent to the Capitol as pets. Some are sent as puppies, and some when they're older. It's Dep's job to feed and walk them all. There's always at least ten dogs in the house, usually much more. He has to walk them in groups of five and upwards. He gets many blisters on his hands from the leashes.

Dep doesn't remember his parents at all. They died when Dep was two. Harvard tells him they died in a cow stampede, but he won't give any more detail than that. Dep doesn't miss them, because he never knew them. His uncle raised him, so he doesn't really know what he's missing. His uncle was always enough for him.

Dep isn't sure when he got his first girlfriend, only that he hasn't been able to live without girls since. He doesn't remember who that first girl was, or even what she looked like. It isn't important to him anymore. He tries not to live in the past.
