District 5's Very Own Orchestra - OPEN

Squeak. Squeak. Squeak.

You walk down the shiny polished floors, instrument in hand. Most of the rooms are for Government things, but you were lucky enough to get the auditorium for the day. In the distance you can hear the tuning of violins, the high whistle of practicing flutes, and the low pounding of the timpanist.

The mayor hired you and the fourteen other musicians for your first real concert, but when you step into the room you barely have time to prepare your instrument when peacekeepers come rushing in. You are shoved out of the room, and your beautiful instrument is left behind. The rest come tumbling after you and you are left outside, pushed away from your moment and back onto the street.

Locke Phretter - Age 18 - Male - Open - You are the orchestrator, you write the music, you conduct the rehearsals and when one needs cheering up, you put everything together. You have a temper at times, but only if people don't listen to everything you say. Easy, right?

Jenna Prude - Age 18 - Female - Open - You play the flute and sometimes the Piccolo, and you love it so much you have tried to teach almost everyone in the orchestra how to play it at some point. You can hit the high notes, and you aren't afraid to try new things. You often try to change the music, and its not always for the better, but you're smile is one that can make anyone forgive you.

Evangeline Baker - Age 18 - Female - Open - You are the alto flute, a less known instrument but one you like to introduce to others. You rarely make mistakes, but this only helps you to blend in more. You have turned down many solos in the past, and get irritable when Locke makes you use Jenna's flute while she does the Piccolo.

Loewi Tressman - Age 18 - Male - Open - The alto saxophone, you are the sharpest in the room. Though not the most handsome, you can amaze everyone with your intelligence and problem-solving skills. You secretly know how to play the piano, but you do not share this with the others as there is no piano and your family one was sold long, long ago.

Chloe Richards - Age 18 - Female - Open - You play the trombone, but if you could you would play anything else. You are an artistic prodigy, and quit the orchestra at least once a week, though you always return. You've been known to try to seduce players, both male and female.

Ellie Manning - Age 17 - Female - Open - You have a mysterious past, and no one dares question you about it out of fear of what you might do. You have a touch soul, which has made you the perfect oboist for the group. Locke has given you many solos in the past, all of which you have mastered. You have a crush on Oscar, and his lack of interest in you has heightened your grumpy personality.

Daniel Acres - Age 17 - Male - Open - You are the cellist, and mute by choice. The only way you speak is through your instrument, and you love having competitions with the Violinist and the Viola. You secretly have a crush on Amber, but you would never speak to her and are too scared to anyways.

Oliver Twizzler - Age 17 - Male - Open - You are the first trumpet, an outgoing, temper-prone young man who takes joy in bad jokes and pranks, and skipping rehearsals altogether. You make fun of other players when they mess up, but you yourself can be a hypocrite sometimes. You have an ongoing relationship with Amy.

Oscar Twizzler - Age 17 - Male - Open - You are the timpanist, the twin brother of Oliver. You are desperately in love with Evangeline, and she knows this, but you take joy in her playing hard to get.

Iodine Glasse - Age 17 - Female - Open - You are the much valued bassoonist, and you take pride in what you do. You often run to the warehouse when you are bored, and play for as long as you can until you fall asleep on the bench.

Amy Riddle - Age 16 - Female - Open - You are the Viola player, and you are a nosy, quirky girl. You're definitely the odd one out, and a little hyper. Sometimes in the middle of a song you'll begin composing your own, or you will shout something in the middle of the square that makes sense only to yourself. You find joy in dissecting things. You have an ongoing relationship with Oliver.

Vanessa Vince - Age 16 - Female - Open - You are the clarinet player, a kind spirit, and you always think of others before yourself. You like to compose very short songs to play for people you know will be having a bad day, and because of this almost everyone except the trumpeter likes you.

Hansel Gordan - Age 16 - Male - Open - You are the homeless one, the percussionist, the one who sleeps in the backroom of the warehouse. Every now and then you will wake to the sound of a crying orchestra member, and out of kindness you will sit with them until they leave, or leave them alone if they just want to play for a little while. You have a crush on Freda, but you don't know she likes you back.

Freda Zimmer - Age 16 - Female - Open - You are the French horn and the tuba. You are clever, but not clever enough to know Hansel likes you just as much as you like him. Those missed notes? Maybe you were looking at him for too long again...

Amber Squirrel - Age 15 - Female - Sarella - You are the violinist, the one with all the candy. You are forgetful, but you are innocent and kind to those around you. You are the youngest in the orchestra, and you would like it to stay that way.
