It rung aloud and sliced through the silence.
I'm groaning already and I haven't even opened my eyes. I can feel the rays of the sun seeping in and illuminating my bare skin, coaxing me out of my slumber, physically and mentally. The strong smell of freshly washed sheets are filling my nasal cavities and snaking into my nervous system. Planting my hands on the bed sheets (I lay spread eagle on my stomach), I push myself in a press up style, and roll off the bed, quickly gaining my footing. My mirror sits across from me, but I avoid it, there will be time for self admiration later. It's early, nobody is awake, the best time to use the bathroom. My hands snake around the doorknob and twist it once, pushing it open. I step out into the hallway, buck bare, but why should I care? Nobody is around. I grasp my towel from the rack on the way to the bathroom and creep inside. The bathroom is tiled, square in shape with a shower, a toilet and a sink, and of course our medicine cabinet which is rarely full. Without much forethought, I wander towards the shower, stepping inside and shutting the glass door behind my, twisting both knobs before breathing a sigh of relief as the water hits me, exploding like mortars on a smooth battlefield. Like bricks layed ontop of one another, locks of my hair flatten against my skin as the water runs through it, making it thick with liquid. I lean my head back, and the water slides across my face, cleaning it of any dirt it could have on it (which I doubt, I'm remarkably well groomed). My hands twist the knobs off, and I push the door open with my elbow, stepping out and wrapping myself with a towel, but not before toweling my body off. My footsteps are patting against the wood as I trudge back to my room, waltzing inside slowly.
My room is a bit of a mess, clothes strewn all over, and some plates from where I left to eat in my room. It is my sanctuary, strewn with clothing I like to try on, I dress to impress, and that requires a lot of trial and error. I slide my underwear on and promptly slide the thick black leggings onto my legs, which tighten around my thighs, hugging my shapen but skinny legs. My hands drag the white t-shirt over my head, it's a size up, so it covers my lower half like a dress, and to top it off, I slide my feet into some lovely Chelsea Boots, faux Capitolite style. My father does spoil me, if only he could be around more. From there I proceed to wander out into the hallway, sliding my statchel over my shoulder and waltzing on to the front door on my way out, into the rather bright morning sun. I was going for a walk this morning, before going off to train. My steps where muffled by the grass, I love this route, it leads to the fence, and I intend to trail along it today. The fence is in sight, and I'm slowly getting closer, it's quiet buzz starting to emerge, under the chirping of the birds like the bass line of popular capitol music. The fence feels as if it stretches forever, and what's more strange is the the buzzing is becoming less intense, it's odd. I've never wandered this far, it's strange. Wait.. I think I see something ahead, it looks like.. a hole in the fence!
