I stormed out of the house, almost in tears. My stupid brother. My stupid life. My stupid everything. My anger was clouding my brain. I can't think straight. My arms are tightly crossed over my chest, as if to hold all of my hostility from bursting out. My steps were hurried and quick, I wanted to just go away and never come back. Every pace got me closer to where I wanted to be. Alone.

Away from any brothers who have that vacant expression that wants to make you scream. Away from life and into my own world. I was heading for the willow tree. It was calming to me, the tendrils that slowly blew in the wind. Elegant as fish in water. It would take my mind off of things. Temporarily. I could see the top of the tree, and I instantly felt a calm breeze come over me. It seemed to blow away all my thoughts, cooling down my mad thoughts. I swept my blonde hair out of my face, the wind blowing it directly into my eyes.

As I get closer, however, I see a girl. Her bright hair stood out amongst the green, severely out of place. I couldn't tell much else about her at this distance. She finally noticed me as I came closer. I could make out brown eyes and a galaxy of freckles over a pale space. She walked towards me slowly, and I blink.

"H-hello" she said, the words rolling off her tongue rigidly. She doesn't want me to be here. I know it already. I think about just leaving. Letting her be alone and letting me be alone. But there's a nagging voice that tells me it would be quite rude if I did that. But then again, she is being a bit rude to me.

"Hello." I repeat back flatly, showing no emotion. I squirmed uncomfortably. This girl was much older than me. I was much better off talking with piers than with grown ups.
