My feet are silent on the almost empty hallway of my masters house. I hurry down the hall, My strong arms carrying tools that the other avoxes need to get to work. I won't be actually doing any of the construction but I will definitely be running errands. I race down the steps, passing off the tools to one of the others before hurrying back up the stairs. My master nods to me as I pass him, and I dip my head in respect. I'm not one of those avoxes who disobeys their masters, I've seen what happens to those of us that do and I never want that to be me. Although, I've done something that I could be punished severely for; I've had an affair with the masters daughter Flora. She's so beautiful and kind and sweet. I'm in love with her. As I walk through the hallway, I hear her in her bedroom and I feel curiosity take over my judgement. I poke my head in to find her sitting on her bed, She's alone. I look around the hallway, making sure no one is watching, and slip into her room silently.

I knock on her dresser to alert her of my presence and when she looks up, I meet her beautiful blue eyes. Hey I sign, smiling. I know it's dangerous to be having an affair with the masters daughter who's already betrothed but I don't care. She won't be punished, if anyone were to find out, it would be me who was punished. I sit next to her on her bed and look at her. How are you?
