I'M SO TIRED
Username: Arx!!
Character's name: Faina Pishchalnikova
Age: 12-14
Gender: Female
How were they comatized?: The poor child got herself trapped within one of the small generator rooms of her parent's factory. With the sun beating down on the tin roof and walls, the heat of the generators, and the thick clothing, she began to suffer through the symptoms of a heat stroke before falling into a comatose state. Her parents found her hours later, thinking she was dead, only to take her to the hospital and find that she was in fact still alive. But, due to the prolonged exposure to the heat, she woke from her comatose with some acute brain damage and is quite delusional when it comes to deciding what is reality and what is a dream.
What was their coma "world"?: She is a snow child. She was born one night when her parents built her up out of snowflakes in some far away place and she grew and grew into a little girl, giggling through the snow and wilderness, fending for herself in a place where so many others were struggling. She made friends with a fox and hunted on her own. She lived in solitude, but watched over her parents when they were not looking. She stepped into their heated cabin only once, but the heat was too much - the snow child was melting - and thus, she forever stayed running through the cold woods with her pet fox, giggling all the way.
How long were they in a coma for?: 5 months - extremely long for someone who should've recovered within just a few weeks.
How are they coping?: Someone who didn't know her before the stroke/coma might think she is just a very creative girl with an active imagination, but her loved ones and those around her know that she is completely different. The girl used to be so intuitive, so realistic, and now everything has turned into how she was born from snow and was a magical snow fairy of some sort. Some days she has emotional breakdowns, screaming for her fox, insisting that she is too hot and that if she doesn't find snow soon she will melt. Many speculate that the heat got to her head and caused schizophrenia to occur.
Character ideas: I think that as I age her, she will become more and more delusional and her only reality will become the one she dreamt of in her comatose state. She will spend the majority of times walking the halls of the recovery facility calling for her fox, Jay, and asking everyone she meets if they have the snow. Honestly, she is as adorable as you can get and it's hard for anyone to hate her. Everyone she meets is written into the story in her head, and often she calls them by some made up name she gave them instead of their real one. She enjoys visiting the sleeping patients and telling them the story of their life in her world. Her parents worry over her constantly, but because she still believes herself independent, she has begun to shove them away, much to their dismay.
(Note: I am roughly basing her off of Eowyn Ivey's, The Snow Child, which is really an elaborate retelling of a Russian fairytale.)
Why do you want to be in the plot?: Well just squish all of the above responses together and that is pretty much why xD
