OOC: 3 paragraph minimum. First to lose 40 HP loses. All blunt hits. The beginning of this thread can be found here.

The boy chose two wooden swords and went to stand in the middle of the fighting arena. Beau glanced over the weapons that were at his disposal and selected a study wooden pole that was only a foot shorter than him. It was a good replacement for a spear. He wasn't very versed with two swords, so he couldn't match the other boy on that level and one sword would be a hassle. The wood staff was a good median because he would be able to block and attack at the same time.

Beau met the boy in the center of the battlefield and offered his hand. "Beau Turner," he told the boy his name, "can't wait to beat you to a pulp." He turned and walked back to ready himself in a position. Feet spaced out, one foot slightly to the left. Beau raised his staff in a ready pose. A male trainer came out to the middle once he saw that the two boys were ready. He told them to play fair and then yelled, "Begin!"

Beau bolted found. His first goal was to find to find out the boy's defense. Were there any open holes in his defense? What could he do to uproot him? Was he adept at defending himself? Beau stabbed his staff forward towards the boy's head.

His staff missed the boy. Beau was impressed that the boy's reflexes were so fast. He was unsure if he would have been able to respond as fast himself. Beau pulled back and readied himself for the boy's counterattack.

Mark Antony

Mark started out to the center of the battle area. Watching Beau the whole time. The smile on Marks face never leaves, but stares mockingly at him. Mark twirled the swords in his hands, showing off partly and warming up his arms. The swords moving fast as they slice the air, a whopping sound follows. Beau grabs a long wooden staff, but in Marks mind 'great another stick'.

As Beau starts back, Mark nods his head. Then Beau raises a hand to Mark and Mark promptly places the other sword in his other hand and shakes it. " Mark Antony, and I cannot wait for you to try. Smiling, Mark respected him for telling him his name, it showed Beau was not a coward. So Mark returned the favor, kindly stating his name, as shown before. (^^)

Mark stands loosely, not in a defensive nor offensive stance. But more just standing still to observe Beau's stance. " Begin" the instructor says loudly and almost instantly, Beau lunges forward and jabs the spear at Marks face. Mark quickly moves his head to the side. Smiling. " To predictable,"

Unfortunately Beau was unable to get into a defensive position fast enough. "Too predictable and too slow." Mark surprised Beau by bringing his sword up from below. It was a daring move and one the Beau didn't see used often because it left a lot of openings for attack. The boy's sword caught him right under the armpit and Beau jumped back.

Maybe this fight would be a challenge after all. Mark was better than Beau had expected. He gripped his spear tighter and swung the bottom of it up toward's Mark.

The speed of Beau's swing was effective. Mark was not fast enough to block the opening that he had left open from his last attack and Beau was able to hit him on the back with the end of his staff. "Now who's too slow." He smirked at Mark as he withdrew his weapon. "Still feeling cocky?"

Mark knew this attack would leave a lot open, but he wanted to see if Beau would take it. Sure he did, a good smack to the back and Mark smile showing a slight ounce of pain but a smile still remained. ' Still feeling cocky?'

" Cocky wouldn't be the word for it" Mark smiles, getting back into position, raising one sword above his head, keeping the bottom sword pointing up to the roof. The two swords make a box, one that can be used for attack or defense. " I respect you, quick to strike back, that's always a good trait.

Mark, not making much of an attack this round, stands defensively, every now and again, slightly testing Beau, throwing obvious light swings that he easily blocks.

"Cocky wouldn't be the word for it," Mark said with a sly smile. More like overconfident. Beau nodded in response, not really wanting to say anything else. "I respect you, quick to strike back, that's always a good trait." This was true. Beau rarely ever wasted any time thinking about reacting because he had already planned his moves in advance.

There was no telling what any of Marks attack would be, but Beau could pre-plan all of his escape routes in advantage so that he knew what he had to work with. And better yet, he could do it within a few seconds thanks to his IQ. Mark swung his swords forward and Beau blocked his swings easy. Wood met wood with a satisfying thud. "And I respect that you take your hits so well. But I think you should stop going easy on me." Beau countered Mark's last attack and charged in for one of his own.

He swung his sword towards Mark's head. It was a little of an unfair play but the boy had just toyed with Beau and while Beau wasn't annoyed, he was bored and didn't want to just throw weak blows at each other during the whole fight. Mark was able to get a sword up in tight to block the full force of Beau's swing but the momentum of his swing carried the staff to Mark's neck."Sorry, about that. Didn't mean to swing that hard." That had to have hurt. "But let's make this more interesting, yeah?"

Mark smile, The pain hurting a lot. But Mark stood his ground and laughed. He loved this guy, he was a good fight and had a scene of humor. Maybe they could be friends, there were in short supply and Mark could use one. Mark turned his neck, cracking it, raising his swords.

" Yeah, lets do that", Mark said with a smile, searching for openings, looking carefully, keeping his guard high. Mark took a few side steps back and fourth, getting a small rhythm going. His neck still in pain, he watches his swords swaying a bit, keeping them moving a little. Mark sways his body slowly, trying to read him. Finally taking a step in for a strike.

Mark fakes with the first strike, coming in with the other hitting his left arm. The coach almost calls out instantly " Left forearm severed!" Mark smiles and gives him a small playful wink. " Yeah, lets play"

Mark went to block for his feet then suddenly, boom right in the stomach and Mark heaves over a bit raising his swords, knowing not to let that happen again and he smiles saying as he tries to regain some air. "yeah *cough* watch for the right fakes* cough* im right handed but its good to fake for *cough cough* left. This match was gonna be close they both knew it would.

Mark stands up straight, quicker than most after getting the wind knocked out of them. He was not fully recovered but he was ready again to fight. Mark lets the swords dance in front of him. Mark makes his move. Beau's last low attack hurt so Mark would throw a low one.

Mark smiled as the coach calls out " Severed left foot" Mark had faked with both, crossing them acting as if going for a neck shoot, but instead rolls, as he rolls past him, Mark swings at his leg, hitting hard.

Mark smiles at Beau eyeing him as Mark pulls back from the low hit. He looks into Beaus eyes, as he charges letting his spear hit in three directions, blocking the left and the right, trying to dodge the one in the middle but unable to as the stick slams into his neck. Mark does not waste a second seeing his opening.

Mark pushes forward as the stick pushes past his neck, Mark raises an arm and wraps the stick between his arm and hes torso, letting his sword in his right hand come down hard on the middle snapping it in two, dropping the half he was holding. Stepping in closer, letting his left sword fly and smack Beau in the side, raising a foot, slamming into Beaus stomach pushing him back, as Beau heaves over to take in the hit, Marks right sword out of instinct flies upwards smacking Beau in the face. Sending Beau off his feet onto the ground.

Mark walks forward and holds the wooden sword to his throat. Mark smiles. " Sorry, got into the move. It cant be stopped in the middle or it just looks ugly." Mark holds the sword, waiting for surrender.[rand=7885646482463926864950734656304155439583794213831329313088208437]
