Age: 16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 9
Appearance:
She is lanky and underfed with a bony stature. She stands at around five feet, small compared to some but to her a perfect hight. Her legs are somewhat disproportionate to her torso, which is small and squashed attached to her longer and lankier legs. Her fingers are also thin and bony, but most of the time they are tucked behind her back and out of sight. You can tell that she is malnourished and lacking in muscle, her ribs poke through her skin in certain places.Personality:
Her sin is pale and smooth, but in a way that doesn't strike you as beautiful. Her nose and eyes are small, but it fits her small face. Her eyes are a deep gray that in shadows fades into a dark black. Her hair is short, almost all gone, and a light auburn. her hair is always tangled and in knots. Her ears poke out of her hair, and like almost everything else of her's they are small.
She is shy and reserved. She often tucks her hand behind her back and looks down, her shoulders slumped over in sadness. You could say that it is a side effect of living in a lower district, but it is mostly just a side effect of sadness. She mumbles when she talks and is very soft spoken, almost to the point where she fades into the background. When she looks at you she does not let you stare entirely into her eyes, because her life is such a bitter one that she would rather keep it to her self then open up and allow you to help.History:
She is not fast or strong. She is neither fierce nor brutal. But the one thing she excels at is trickery. Hidden traps, stabbing people in the back, her years on the streets have taught her to trust no one and never count a friend as a friend when you or your family is in danger. She seems like a smaller threat then she is, but she isn't an overwhelming force that demands to be reckoned with.
Like any person she does have flaws. She is slow to make friends and speak up, if the capitol killed innocent people she would be sad but wouldn't act upon it. It is a rare person that will make her smile, and her detachment from her parents makes her cautious to make relations, out of worry of them leaving like her parents did. And if she did make friends she would most likely betray them, not out of cruelty, but because of her twisted sense of right and wrong
She has lived in District Nine all her life, but it's not like most people move frequently from district to district. They have not lived in the same house all their life though. At once point they lived in a house then became unable to come up with the money needed to supply it and lived without a house for a year or two before making changes that allowed them to get a house once again. She had always disliked the smog of the factories, and wishes that with a swipe of her hand she could fix everything, but knows she never can.Codeword: odair
Both her parents work in the factories. It wasn't always this way though. In their first house, only her father worked. Her mother stayed at home with her and her two siblings and cared for them. but after both her siblings died during the glimpse of homelessness, they knew that the only way they could survive is if both parents went to work at the factory, a fate they were dreading since the beginning.
Now both her parents are gone all day, only back at night after Cogs is fast asleep. They are usually gone by the time she wakes up as well. On the rare moments where she does catch her parents they are in no mood to talk. They are aching and covered in oil, tires from a long days. Her separation from her parents plus her dead siblings brings her her sorrow, a life that she is doomed to live.
Comments/Other:
Cogs name comes from her grandfather, who was obsessed with gears. Her mother (his daughter) said that her could build you anything if he had some gears and scrap metal. His favorite was the cogs, those little teeth on the gears. he thought it was a magical moment when you were fiddling with the cogs and suddenly everything just fit, right where it was supposed to be.
