DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING,
SINGING THE SONGS OF ANGRY MEN.
Contrary to popular belief, not all of the citizens of the Capitol agree with the decisions of the government. In fact, there is a small pocket of young men, call it a resistance, if you are so inclined, that live in and around the center of the Capitol. These young men have never quite agreed with the idea of a Hunger Games. (My god, how barbaric?) Their parents all figured them to be in a phase, it's anything but. From socialites to gutter rats, they are coming together, carefully planning and evolving out of the cages they have been placed in, to strike back, and to free the people of the Districts. Although some ladies, have shown interest, they have been barred from the group. This is no such thing for a proper lady! Whether it is that they wished to be recognized as heroes, or simply yearn for peace, they are together as one to fight for what is right.
On the other side is the government, and one man in particular attached to their case. Leading a special team of cold-blooded Peacekeepers, they are out to squash this tiny revolution! Of course, no harm has been done yet, but a certain President doesn't exactly like the idea that his subjects are beginning to develop a conscience, not one bit. It would be best to show them what happens to those who resist. This plot is based off of the brave young boys of the barricade, from the popular book and movie, Les Miserables. It is based in the Capitol, and is strictly for boys! No girls allowed! My goodness, who is that lovely looking lad in the cap?The boys in this plot will not be side tracked!Marius, where have you been? With that Cosette again? They have a mission, given to them by the people crying out for their help, and they will do their duty in the name of Panem!VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
ENJOLRAS {20} | PLAYED BYAh ha, and here we have the man who brought them all together, Enjolras. He believes in democracy and freedom and is willing to do anything to achieve it. A son of politics, Enjolras was born to the upper class, although he always felt as if he never belonged there. He took after his father however, and became a law student. Often described as 'angelically handsome', his young and lovely looks are deceptive. He is charming and charismatic, but also “capable of being terrible,” and the fiery passion that drives him to man the barricade can quickly turn mercilessly destructive when turned on the opposition. Driven, highly political, and more than a little ruthless in pursuit of his goals, Enjolras is at once a golden-haired angel of the revolution and a tight-lipped warrior of the people, which makes him doubly dangerous to anyone who might oppose him.
COMBEFERRE {19} | PLAYED BYis Enjolras’ right-hand man. A scholar, Combeferre is insatiably curious about the world, both in terms of science and philosophy. Unlike Enjolras, Combeferre’s focus is not on the rights of the citizen, but of the universal rights of mankind. He believes in the concept of peace and more so desires to handle their situation in a civilized manner. Where Enjolras is the leader of the group, Combeferre is the guide, who both looks out for the other members of the group and balances out Enjolras’ tendency towards violent revolution with a preference for peace and slow progress through education. He is considerably soft spoken, though does not hesitate to assure his opinion is placed upon the table. He was raised in the middle class of the Capitol. His father was a drunk, and his tolerance for Grantaire is not incredibly high.
COURFEYRAC {19} | PLAYED BYCourfeyrac is considered to be third in command of the revolution. Known as being the centre of the group, who is capable of holding everyone together on a personal level. Intensely personable, Courfeyrac is also noted as being a bit of a tom cat. Courfeyrac is a charming young man with much to say and is rather influential to the public; especially upon women. With his charming personality follows a side to him in which is seen seductive by women. They adore him and he adores them. Despite this, Courfeyrac is an honourable man and a loyal friend to his companions. While Enjolras is a leader, and Combeferre an advisor, Courfeyrac functions with the other two men on an emotional level rather than an intellectual or political level.
JEHAN PROUVAIRE {18} | PLAYED BYJehan is a bit of a worry for Combeferre. He's incredibly smart, smarter than all of them, but a bit of a scatterbrain. Where Enjolras is all about revolution, and Combeferre is all about the learning, Jehan is focused on the arts, the culture, and the beauty of this world. He's created a special language for the boys to use as code, but he's the only who's bothered to learn it. He's been known to say phrases and switch into this language without meaning to, leaving the boys behind in confusion. With a reportedly bad sense of dress, he's been known to weave flowers through his hair as well. Jehan sometimes has trouble staying in the moment, and instead can be inside a painting or get lost in a book if left unattended for too long.
FEUILLY {18} | PLAYED BY THEis unique within the group, as he is one of its few lower class members. He's an orphan who taught himself to read and write, and has since been entirely self-educated. Feuilly has adopted the peoples for his family and is a fierce nationalist. He wants to rescue them from themselves, from their sin by overthrowing the government. However, despite this, he is obsessively interested in the independence and oppression of the districts, most notably district six, never has he given a reason why. He is generous, but also pragmatic and dedicated to his own sense of what is or is not right.
BAHOREL {18} | PLAYED BYis perhaps best described as being “a good-natured mortal who kept bad company.” The second member of the group born to a lower class background, he is bold and brash, with “daring waistcoats and scarlet opinions,” and thrives on conflict. He is a man with humour at the tip of his tongue and a witty comeback to follow every statement. However, he is far more intelligent than he presents himself to be, and attends law school, though he has no intention of ever becoming a lawyer. Despite his humour, he also has the ability to flaunt a side of himself that displays both his dedication and stern side.
GRANTAIRE {20} | PLAYED BY THE ELOQUENT ELEGANTA socialite in every way, he is the life of the party. Born to the very rich, and kicked out of the house at eighteen. Grantaire is the lone sceptic in the group, to whom the group’s ideals are absolutely meaningless. In his lack of belief to most things, he struggles mentally with the burden in knowing the concept of hope is deceiving. Rather than the ideals of revolution, Grantaire’s allegiance and reasons for working with the others is out of his belief, not in their ideals, but in Enjolras, whom he “admire, love, and venerate.” However, his sarcastic attitude towards the group’s aims often puts him at odds with Enjolras. It is often questioned why he is there at all, though he claims he has his reasons. A drunkard and a miserable soul, he is loud mouthed and brash when drunk, which is most of the time. When sober, which is something he doesn't like to be, he simply seems miserable. He is tolerated for his otherwise good humour.
BOSSUET {21} | PLAYED BYis one of the oldest members of the group and despite the fact that he comes from an upper class background, he is exceptionally unlucky, having lost all of his money. Though he has absolutely no luck, there is never a day where he does not laugh or smile. However, he is incredibly good-humoured and treats his terrible luck with a degree of sarcasm. He claims he has no hard feelings against his own luck and seems to be quite content with the fact that nothing quite ever goes his way. He is often homeless, but spends a majority of his time living with Joly and his lover, Musichetta.
JOLY {19} | PLAYED BYis a student of medicine and, despite being a raging hypochondriac, is probably the happiest of all of the boys. He has curious ideas about medicinal treatment involving magnetic currents, and can often be seen checking his vitals or the colour of his tongue in a mirror. The only two people who can persuade him out of his hypochondriasis are Bossuet and Musichetta. He is prone to panic attacks and often gets very worried. When he was young, his mother was very sick all of the time, until she eventually died. This inspired him to become a doctor.
MUSICHETTA {20} | PLAYED BYMusichetta is a mysterious flame in the darkness to most of the boys. She is a real lady of the evening who came to them a few months ago. Not a prostitute, no, but the night suites her more than the day. She's the type of lady who is more like to cut of your hand than let you touch her without permission. That being said, she is seen by most as loose because of her complicated relationship status. She is in love with both Bossuet and Joly, and to the three of them, this is no problem. A lady of elegance, her wrath is beyond terrifying, and the full extent of it untested as of yet. She acts as almost a mother hen, keeping all her boys in check.
MARIUS PONTMERCY {17} | PLAYED BYTo be quite honest, Marius is pants at all this revolutionary stuff. He was raised by his extremely rich grandfather, believing that his own father had abandoned him, and no longer wanted him for a son. After finding out this is untrue, he goes to see his father and arrives mere seconds after his death. Enraged, he left his grandfather's house and now lives with Courfeyrac. A man of many fancies, he took up with the Amis, only because he wanted to help. It is uncertain if he is prepared to die for the cause or no. Young, and a real optimist, he believes that mankind is inherently good. In fact? When it comes to it, will he stand with the boys, or choose love?
EPONINE {18} | PLAYED BYEponine was born to a couple of scam artists living in the 'suburbs' of the Capitol. When they were eventually carted off, Eponine was left to fend for herself. Still, she picked up a few things from her parents. Kind-hearted, and better than them, she still knows how to bend people. In fact, she has performed a couple scams as well, and would have done more if Marius hadn't given her some money so she didn't have to. Head over heels, she dresses as a boy to attend the boy's meetings. Not only to be close to Marius, but because the words of Enjolras have slipped into her bloodstream.
COSETTE {17} | PLAYED BYHer mother died in the Capitol slums when she was very young. Despite appearances, every city does have slums. A man she did not know before took her in, and since that day, they have always moved about. She has dreams of stability, and while the man is wealthy, the life she has is not stable. One day, while in the shopping district, she made eye contact with a young man, and fell instantly in love. Though of a high class, and seemingly fragile, she possess an inner strength she inherited from her mother. For the characters of Jean Valjean and Javert, I am looking for an intermediate roleplay twosome. Please apply with your own idea for these characters, as I want to know that you as a writer understand the context. Javert will be a Peacekeeper, and Jean Valjean either an exiled stylist, or escort.Maybe even a run away peacekeeperIf there is interest for Gavroche (the street urchin) he will be included as well.[blockquote]

[/blockquote]Oh my, I just couldn't resist could I? I made this plot in the hope that the Capitol could get some action. Please feel free to add your own flair to your character, as well as submit characters you have already made. I did my best, and I'm sorry if I didn't do the charactters justice. Please enjoy!
