I HEAR U LIEK FAMILY PLOTS

So okay. I make one of these threads occasionally, but this one will be more extensive than usual.

I have made rather a lot of the siblings of my own characters and I feel some shame over it. Somehow though, I've gotten very attached to these families, even if it's all by my lonesome rofl, so I can't bring myself to just make them inactive. Howeverrr, I'm very interested in having people rewrite these characters as their own. Some of these families have more site-history than others (like the Blooms, hahaha, just a little has happened XD) and I'm definitely willing to catch people up on life events they might have missed and promise not to make you read a thousand threads to catch up.

I'm generally open to changes in face claims and personality tweaks. I like the idea of people making these characters their own. For the most part, names are canon at this point and cannot be changed, but if you'd really, really like to change one, that can possibly be arranged.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not really character adoption. You will need to rewrite bios for yourself.

DISTRICT FIVE: LYONS FAMILY

I will absolutely be keeping Denali and Peregrine for myself. The fabulous Clover now plays Tallulah.

RIO ANTHEA LYONS
[12, female, current FC is Virginia Mann]

Rio's imaginary friend (named Effie, short for Ephraim) is the wind. She believes in an unseen world, swearing that Effie whispers secrets to her on the breeze. Despite her odd ways, she is perhaps the most mature of the Lyons siblings and is the wise keeper of their various secrets. (Please note: Meg has dibs on Rio if she still wants her.)

SEVILLE AVEDA LYONS
[16, female, current FC is a model whose name I haven't been able to fully identify]

Seville feels nothing — not in a sadistic serial killer kind of way, but genuinely nothing. Happiness, sadness, pleasure, jealousy, and every other feeling eludes her. She can feel a hand when it brushes her arm or a slap to the face, but her heart won't ever skip and her pride won't burn with humiliation beyond the moment of physical pain. The closest she gets is a kind of impulse to experience emotion, something within her that knows she's not normal and should want to be. So she practices smiling and laughing, faking her way through life and not even being able to bring herself to care if someone figures out her lies. There are days where she can't find the motivation to get out of bed, locking herself up and refusing to eat until her siblings break the door down and when she goes back to living after one of these episodes, it's only because that's what she's supposed to do. Nothing more. (Please note: If I give Seville away, I'll be picky about it. I particularly don't want her to be portrayed as a sadist, a masochist, or turned into a serial killer type.)

ZION DORIAN LYONS
[male, 17, current FC is Luke Smithers]

Ever since finding out that his parents were partially responsible for the District industry change from farming to oil refining, Zion has suffered from night terrors and sleepwalking. Knowing that his blood runs black with the reason that the land is dying and people get sicker than they used to... it haunts him, causing him to wake up — screaming, clawing, gnashing his teeth — and always somewhere unexpected. A closet if he's lucky or maybe the middle of the street, but sometimes he wakes to find himself in a stranger's yard on the other side of the District or lost in the woods. His sister Denali is the only one who knows why he's afflicted, yet Rio is who he seeks for comfort from his demons.

DISTRICT FIVE: WICKHAM FAMILY

I will absolutely be keeping Esau, Jacob's fraternal twin brother.

JACOB ISAAC WICKHAM
[male, 17, current FC is Jeremy Allen White]

All day, every day, the Wickham's wear gas masks. After their conspiracy theory crazed mother declared that the oil fumes were too deadly to breathe, they've been made to promise that they would never take them off, lifting them only long enough to awkwardly take bites of food at dinner time. Sleep, shower, school — always within the safety of their respirators. Granted, when she's not looking, Esau and Jacob tend to break the rules, not just about their masks, but also the Peacekeeper's laws. It's no secret that the Wickham family is riddled with insanity and delinquency, so it's hard for anyone to take them seriously... even though Jacob is a borderline genius who secretly resents the way both his face and his mind are hidden away by plastic and a bad reputation. (Please note: I'm forever tempted to expand this family, because I love everything about their gas mask ridiculousness and sldfkjhsdf. If people would be interested in this at some point, let me know!)

DISTRICT SIX: BLOOM FAMILY

I will absolutely be keeping Calliope and it's a little too late to talk me out of Aesop, rofl.

NAPOLEON "POE" AMADEUS BLOOM
[male, 18, current FC is Yoo Ah In]

Napoleon is your friendly neighborhood drug kingpin... or at least he was before his brother Aesop died in the Games. Aesop would steal pills from the local factory and Poe would sell them with a silver tongue, but now a steady supply of morphling is harder to come by and even shady business is not so good for those with the Bloom name. (Despite the passing years, it's hard for people to forget the sight of a girl being beaten with her own severed leg, the offending weapon carried in a rucksack for days and days.) Calliope hates him for not dying in Aesop's place and now that she's dropped out of school and working in the factories, tension is even higher. Just as she had done to him, he asked her to take the place of their dead brother. Little does he know that she already has... stealing and dealing while his back is turned, just to spite him. He never wanted this life for her, but once you're a selfish, flamboyantly egomaniacal gangster with a Napoleon complex, there's just no going back. (Please note: I WANT SOMEONE TO TAKE THIS BOY FROM ME SO BADLY I CAN'T STAND IT. ALSDJHASLDKJH GIMME CALLIOPE/POE THREADAGE PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY FREAKING PLEASE.)

DISTRICT SEVEN: JACQUES FAMILY

I will absolutely be keeping Atticus.

ANSELM CHRISTOPHE JACQUES
[male, 62, current FC is Salvador Dali]

His mustache is seriously impressive, but even without it, Anselm would be difficult to ignore. One gets the feeling that there is probably a sword hiding within his cane and that his excessively showy clothing is merely a distraction... and it is. Tucked away within the cabinet of curiosities that is his book binding business, a collection of illegal pre-Panem writings is hidden. Some of these books and scattered pages were found during his Wanderer days, but the rest are bartered for via a lifetime of sketchy connections. There are rumors that perhaps he may even be the man printing Anti-Capitol propaganda for the Rebellion, but the Peacekeepers seem reluctant to take that seriously after seeing the way arthritis has ruined his hands and ability to work as he used to.

JASPER EMERSON JACQUES
[male, 15, current FC is Kim Bum]

Where Atticus is the black sheep of the Jacques family, Jasper is the golden child. Having inherited the brilliance of his accomplished parents, renowned inventors in the District, he is also athletic, well-spoken, poised, attractive, and wealthy. Atti is the definition of failure at everything he attempts — awkward and bumbling, to the point of being socially ostracized — while everything comes so easily to Jasper... too easily. Nothing is challenging or interesting or difficult and so he's developed a strange sort of jealousy over his brother, wishing he knew what it was like to exert effort and feel the reward of it.



I also have a pair of Grimm cousins in District One (Cerberus and Nero), the Antoinette sisters in District Two (Cricket and Halcyon) and the Konstantine family in District Eight (Andorra, Charlotte, and Nikolai)... but good luck talking me out of any of them, rofllll. You can try if you'd really like, however. Except for Cricket, obv, because LOLNO. XD

If you would like to remake one of the characters here, just reply telling me what you find interesting about them or with a short little in-character blurb as them or something. Whatever you think might give me an idea as to how you want to write them as a character. Also give me a heads up if you have an idea for one of them that might be different from how I wrote their bios or if you have an interest in changing an FC, name, etc. I'm flexible and really just want the opportunity to thread my characters with their families, so takeee themmm. <3
