If you would like to make a scout character for the Killjoys - someone to help Dr Death Defying in her radio work and to keep a lookout for Draculoids - I will now be accepting premade characters or new applications! Be aware, these characters may get captured and/or killed, so make your choice carefully :3

As well as this, I'd like to say that Dreamer will be portraying the part of evil overlord Korse. Hoohaha, I can't wait to see what you get up to with him!

First choice character: Sea Warfield AKA, Live Eyes (They rhyme)
Why you chose these characters: Well, obviously, a unique character isn't restrained by the Canon of the plot. On top of that, I think Sea's character is artsy, but he can't be like 'Look at this pretty horsie I drew!' to Korse, but he can be like 'Look at this face- she's one of the Killjoys. Now, lets get a wanted poster for this bitch.'

I imagine Korse would pick through Sea's documents, and notice his talent with a gun, his 95% accuracy rating, his photographic memory. (An artist has to have a steady hand, after all.) Sea was trained to do personal sketches and took out quite a few rebels from simply glimpsing their faces, or eyewitness accounts.

Sea is from four, and when he was getting trained for District Three, Korse could have found him then in one of their 'How to identify a culprit' classes. (Sea would have aced that shit by the way.) Korse probably offered him a position selling the morphling. With three siblings back home, how could he refuse? His family in Four quickly rose above and beyond the elite, and Sea found his newest goal- impressing that pretty girl who sells flowers with his massive wallet.


Plot ideas: I wanna do a thread with Sea off-duty, catching some of the Killjoys in action. He'd be able to sketch up some pretty radical images of their faces and put posters EVERYWHERE.

Aleph abandoned his previous life of safety and security at the Academy, and leapt head-first into the rebel group, unsure of what beheld him. Nobody really knows why he decided to leave. Perhaps it was the appeal of something bigger than what he could have ever dared to dream. (But I think deep down he knew why he wanted to leave. He was sick of creating blueprints for projects that he had merely conjured up in his mind. A part of him knew he would never be able to put his inventions to the test - I suppose his parents expected much from him and wanted him to be the perfect model child. Yet the Killjoys gave him the opportunity to do what he had always wanted to do, deep down.) He never wanted to grow up, but as soon as he left the Academy, he was forced into a role that he does not hate, yet wishes hadn’t come with such a great price – his freedom, youth, and the real Aleph.

Aleph was always the predictable one – his high status within the upper parts of the District forced him to respect his elders, follow the rules and be the perfect role model for those younger and less experienced. He is still the same predictable man, and is rarely – if ever – seen making irrational decisions like his comrades seem to do. He has always planned ahead and is very methodical due to having spent five years in the same field of expertise before joining the Killjoys, programmed like a robot, always having a plan of attack that had to be followed down to the very last detail if things were to run smoothly. Some days he would spend hours on end perfecting a plan and analysing each electronic step to ensure nothing went wrong. In a way, he may sometimes show streaks of obsessive compulsive disorder in his actions and interactions with others, and may feel paranoid or uncomfortable when launched into a situation he has no control over. He has always been behind-the-scenes, and that was just the way he liked it.

He very much dislikes the fighting aspects of what the rebel team does, yet he knows it is just as necessary as the strategic aspect. Aleph fears pain a lot. He fears the guilt at having left behind his former life, worrying that one day his decision will catch up and get the better of him, grabbing hold of his conscious. He fears the battle scars that he may gain from obligatory battles, never to be erased, a constant reminder that he, too, is a monster, forced to fight by those around him.

But one thing he does not fear is his experiments, even when they do go wrong. Experimentations were always going to turn out wrong, at some point or another. It was expected. The pain that hurt most from plans backfiring wasn't the painful injuries sustained every time he fell short of his goal, but the pain in having his pride hurt when he felt so certain in his mind that his initial idea would go according to plan. However, he refuses to dwell on what has happened in the past, and views these failures as learning curves. He prefers to fail as opposed to always obtaining success of what he does. It reminds him he is not perfect - a label he does not want to be branded with, not at all. It reminds him that he is still human.

I guess the reckless nature of the rebels caused Aleph to be the target of many jibes and jokes for a while when he was first recruited, as he was always so careful. He never played along with them. He was forced to put on a mask of indifference towards the others, even when their words did hit him hard. These jibes only lasted until he earned his status within the group, and everyone began to see just how dangerous he could be, for he knew much more than anyone else. He never lets on his true feelings, nor gives praise or acknowledgement to any of the other rebels, which is why his affection for Opius is unknown. It is safer that way, yet it doesn’t mean the growing emotions are any less bearable.

Although he is anything but a leader, something deep within him stirs that tells him he deserves to be in charge. Maybe one day that voice may surface a little, and eventually cause a confrontation to ensue.

It seems all his life, Aleph has been slotting into roles other people had created for him. As a result, he doesn’t know who he really is, and holds onto the things that remind him he is his own human – not merely a puppet for the others to play with. He fears his true identity is buried beneath the countless personas picked up over the years. In the vast world, he felt so insignificant, wanting recognition and admiration from those around him – wanting to be taken seriously, even when he was destined to fade into the background and be forgotten. He’d already seen the proof in that, when he left the Academy, left his past life behind, and nobody batted an eye. Nobody bothered to find him. On top of this fear of being forgotten, mixed with his other pre-existing fears, more than anything, he fears forgetting.
