Milo Birch

The span of time between walking out of the manor and entering the metal doors of the training center was entirely too long. If Milo had to listen to one more inconsiderate, shallow quip from Adriana Birch then she thought she might die. No, I don't care, stop talking to me. Thoughts flowed through her head and she bit her lips in order to rid herself of the stark temptation to shout insults at her older sister.

I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. Anger crept into her skin like steel embedding itself in flesh, and it was all she could do to not grab her sister by the neck and throw her into the air with a swiveling-spiral of pure pain and rage. Milo liked her sister, in a sense, but only when she was silent and not trying to draw words from her mouth. Especially when she, the youngest child, already had her nose buried in a tactical book and was trying desperately to get into the mood for one of her favorite forms of exercise: training.

"Shh," The girl hushed her sister with a loud hiss and then pulled the manual closer to her face. She was going to learn how to employ a swinging spear trap or so help her, she might aim her knife at her sister instead of the dummy.

Will this walk ever end? On and on her sister spoke. Words of nothingness, without any meaning, especially in the life of somebody as valuable as Milo Elizabeth Birch.

She would show her up today, that much she was sure. It would be nothing short of embarrassing if she fell prey to one of her many accidents. No, today was going to be spectacular, and Milo was going to the star of her own created show.

Today was her day. Not theirs. They weren't allowed to beat her at anything. Nope, nothing. Milo was prepared for slaughter.

And if some unfortunate soul got in the way of her soaring knives and twirling dance? Well, Milo wasn't about to pull back her arms and let them be. Today was hers alone.

On the way to the training center with my little sister, was like pure hell. The girl only wanted to read the whole time. She had her book in her hand as I was trying to explain some very helpfull techniques that she should keep in mind "You got to have your gaurd up at all times in the training center, you never know who might rip your arm off." I looked over to her to see that she wasn't listening, or at least it didn't seem like she was listining. "Milo this is very important stuf, start paying attention if you ever want to live. For all I know you could end up like Beatrice...without a head" I scolded her as we kept walking.

I was forced, to take her to training today, and I didn't even want to do anything with her at the moment. Mom made me drag her (well not literly) out the door and along the way, with her refusing to hear what I have to say. "Okay so when we get in there, I was thinking we could go for a swim they have a nice pool there, and some nice spring boards maybe we can do a highdive" ?I was just trying to prepare her for what we could do there, but I was met with an annoyed Shh. I hated her for acting so rude and respectless to me, I am the older one here!

I folded my arms and sent her a glare, telling her that I didn't like her attitude and that I didn't care if she was my younger sister, I was going to pulverize her in the training center. I crossed my arms and picked up my pace so that I was a little bit ahead of her. I flipped back my somewhat orange hair and walked on as if she wasn't there. I was completly mad at her and her attitude. I was trying to be nice despite the fact that I didn't even want to come in the first place.

I kept on walking a little faster, glancing behind me to make sure she wasn't catching up. I didn't want it to look like I was walking with her. I really was fed up with her and her graceful little ballerina act, like that was going to help her in the games.
