Mark Antony
Mark walked endlessly in the shadow world he was in, searching for a familiar face, but none were to be found, just other wandering endlessly in this never ending labyrinth of shadows that surrounded him. Mark was calm, this was all odd to him, butt none the less he was calm and ready for what was to come to him in this place. Mark could not remember how or why he was in the shadow world, but he was there and there was nothing he could do to change that fact. Every now and then a blip of light would stream through the sky. But after a few seconds, it was gone and everything was just as dark as it had been before. As Marks feet pulled him forward, he noticed in the shadows every now and then a face, some being somewhat familiar, other being someone close to him. The first face he passed was his fathers, it stunned Mark as he stopped trying to put his finger on what the hell was going on. But unnaturally his feet kept moving, leaving his fathers face behind. Old friends were to come next, Mark pushed away all feelings for them, he had a reason for abandoning them. There was always a reason for something Mark did. Like when he kissed that girl a few days ago. It was something that was always on Marks mind. The girl was always on his mind. He tried to push her out of his mind, but his emotions would not have it. Trying to pull his mind from her he willingly pushed forward, faster and faster. The farther he went, the darker the world got. Though this should scare Mark, it never did. This was a place of peace and quiet and for Mark a little bit of serenity. Serenity, everything that brought Mark happiness was a version of serenity to Mark. Mark continued past all the faces, leaving them behind without a second look back. These people were all a part of his life, but obviously something he didn't need to protect or them anymore, because honestly he couldn't do that himself. Seeing Jins face in this crowd has brought back memories Mark never wanted to encounter again. Yet fate must have had it so, fate was cruel in this way, wanting Mark to remember his failed attempt to protect Cecilia. The dark shadowy world Mark was in shifted to a real atmosphere, forcing Mark to stand still, trying to move his legs but unable too. Mark looked around, the scene was familiar, one that was never meant to be relieved for Mark. But now he was forced to, he was forced to watch Jins hit his sister a total of 6 times before Mark could react, Mark tried to grab Jins and pull him off, but instead Jins turned to Mark and put a fist into his side sending Mark to the ground. The next few minuets would be a small one sided scramble between Mark and Jins. By the end of it Mark had a broken nose and a fractured skull. Every day after Marks slow recovery was dedicated to training to ensure his sisters would be defended well. Before it all, Mark never wanted to fight, he never wanted to touch a sword. But after that faithful day everything changed. Swords grew on Mark, the life grew, but not enough to make him love fighting. He did enjoy it, but it was not a part of him, but swords on the other hand, they were now. Mark watched his limpness body jolt with another hit to his face, the world flashed, all light gone. The shadow world was again in front of him. This serenity walk turned into a terrible nightmare Mark just wanted to leave behind. But no matter what he did, what he tried to do he was forced to walk forward. More memories flooding back about Jins and him. Jins was always able to beat Mark. But now a days, maybe Maybe Mark could win. But the next time they met, maybe it would be true, maybe Mark would get beat again. That is what Mark was afraid of, Mark knew he was stronger, be he didn't know how much better he had gotten. He would like to think that he could beat Jins, in his mind he was always second guessing himself about it, but honestly Mark was probably strong enough to best him. But Mark always feared he would disappoint himself again, letting himself and his sisters down. It was a terrible thought Mark tried to push away, and he successfully did, but not because he pushed it away, but because of the next face that showed up. It was the girl Mark kissed a few days ago, he couldn't forget that face, it was all to familiar to him. Her accepting then refusing of it. It was a game of cat and mouse, then it turned into something Mark couldn't resist anymore. He longed for her, but from how she reacted he could tell she didn't feel the same way, yet he was determined to get her. The face taunted him and the world flashed again and it was a scene of him and her kissing again. But this time she was kissing back, this was a huge tease to Mark, he wanted this to happen but it was a long shoot right now. Mark had a strange feeling about her, she was something he really longed for, she was different than most girls in district 2. Mark needed her, or so he thought, at the moment at least. That was the problem with Mark, he gets attached, but he would never admit he does. This scene calmed him, he was happy, then just like a cruel game, like the one they were playing, a light flashes. "No!"
Mark awoke screaming no and reaching for the world he was in, one that never existed. ' Great... all that was just another dream, one that I still have not gotten, one I want, but one I may not get.' Mark thought to himself, the cold air nipping at his nose as he breathed in. He looked over at his clock, it was 4:30. Usually it would be five when he got up, but this time he had something to do today. He had someone to take out today, it was someones special day. Flavia, his little five year old sister was turning 6 in 2 hours, today was her birthday. Flavia was like Mark, she wanted to be strong and able to defend her family. She was amazing with swords, almost better than Mark, she was a protege with swords. Mark has taught her well, and if Mark does not pay attention in a fight then she can best him.
Slowly Mark slid off the blankest and got dressed, putting on a shirt and some jeans, slipping on some socks and shoes. Mark sighed not wanting to go, but it was his sister, he couldn't say no to her. Flavia was Marks favorite source of sunshine, she was brilliant and already could recite the play Julius Caesar. He favorite character in the play was Mark Antony, sometimes when Mark is doing certain things, she tells him that the two of them were quite alike. In some ways they were, but most ways they were not. Slowly pushing the door open, Mark walked into the living room through the hall and to Flavias door, opening it slowly. " Flavia," he whispers seeing his little sister putting her shoes on. Mark smiled, she was so much like Mark, if she had a plan she was going to put it into motion weather or not others were going to allow it. " Well who is exited for today?" Mark asked smiling, as Flavia turns around running into his arms.
"Mark!!", Mark hugged her tight as she returned the hug. " Today I'm going to kick your ass!" She cusses and Mark looks at her. " Butt, sorry." She playfully rolls her eyes.
"Ill meet you outside." Mark smiled walking out of the room waiting outside. After a few minuets Flavia comes out and starts walking, Mark followed holding her hand as they trotted down the street. They had to walk through the ally where Mark had killed the man who tried to mug him here, the blood stain still on the wall. Mark stayed silent and moved Flavia along quickly. After exiting the end of the ally a gust of cold air hit them, bringing slight chills to Mark but Flavia was in a happy hyper mood. Her happiness brought a smile to Marks face. Flavia was a sweet small little girl. After a short walk then opened the doors to the empty gym. Flavia raced to the swords taking them. After a few minutes of warming up on dummies she asked to spar. Mark walked over grabbing two swords standing orthodox crossing their swords. Quickly Flavia starts the fight, it is easy for Mark to block and step out of the way. " Don't be overzealous hun." Mark said noticing someone walking into the gym. It was Kyanite. Mark kept his eyes on her and Flavia rolls through Marks legs and slams the wooden swords to Marks shins, taking Mark out from under himself as his body slams to the ground. Flavia quickly puts the sword against the back of his neck. " got you". Mark sighed and stood up and whispered to Flavia. " Lets go to the obstetrical course," Mark stood and cracked his neck and started towards the next room.
"No." Flavia said and challenged his again, Mark smiled and turned around to her and they crossed swords and began fighting, this time all around the room, tumbling and dodging each other. The fight is amusing to watch, they both move with grace, smoothly hitting swords together. Kyanite was on Marks mind and he wanted to show off to her. His shirt had been removed and bruises all over his body showed, looking to have come from a stabbing weapon, one small bruise on his neck. The fight goes on for minuets, until Flavia has Mark pushed against the wall, next to Kyanites position in the area, he can't help but looking into her eyes, a small hint of longing in his eyes, everything seems to freeze for a moment as he takes in the beauty. But just as quickly as he saw her he turned back to his sister blocking a hit close to his head, grabbing his sister little arm and spinning her to the ground dropping the swords and tickling her. " GOT YOU!" she laughed and laughed and laughed. " Stop stop stop stop." Mark smiled and stood her up. " Now to the obstacle course." He smiled and stood and started glancing at Kyanite, watching her as they walked. Out of no where someone bumps into Marks shoulder and pulling a sword out of his sheath and lands the sword against the persons neck behind him. Just as quickly the cold steel of a sword rests against Marks neck.
" Oh hello there Mark... Hows the nose," Jins said smiling at Mark. Mark stayed silent and Flavia screamed and ran to Kyanites side hiding behind her. Mark eyed Jins, rage building up in his chest. Mark was ready to kill. Mark was getting to the point where all he could think about was fighting. A small trickle of blood dripping down Marks neck, Jins had pushed the blade a little to far, Mark was a bit more smooth with a sword apparently, the rooms atmosphere turned from loving and awkward to intense. Marks grip on the sword tightened.
" Jins." Mark finally speaks, the devious kid back in action, Mark was planning something. Kyanite must know this, but Mark was no longer paying attention to her, but to Jins and he was longing to drive the sword deep in his neck, but Flavia was here...

Flavia Antony
Flavia watches her brother with an intense look scared for her brother. She didn't know the girl but she was young and could not help but cling to her leg.
