The first moment I stepped foot into this new world, I knew there was more to see. I could see anything I wanted to see because everything in the books I read about exists here! Everything is real. Pegasuses fly around wildly with the fairies riding on their backs. It's extremely perfect. "They are just stories. They don't exist!" A large grin grows across my face. "If you could see this world that exists here where I am, you wouldn't tell me they were just stories. I always knew they were real, but the only person to believe me was Red." I'm happy here. I've escaped from the world that held me down. I escaped. I'm in the land that I dreamed of every night when my eyes closed. Everyone of the fairies are dancing around me. It's perfect here! I wish I could have been here sooner! It's amazing knowing that I can be happy with no worries of life. It's another adventure. I'm finally able to be free. (Is it selfish that I'm glad to be here instead of being at home with my family?)

I spent so much time worrying about my family when I was in the games. I spent so much time trying to fight to return home to them. Hell, I made it farther than Jabber did. I made it farther than anyone expected me to. I surpassed everything. Who would have thought a small boy scoring a two in training would survive as long as I did? Not many people. Not even me. I can sit up here laughing at the gamemakers. I can laugh at the president. I can laugh at everyone who thought I'd be the first one dead. "Fuck you Capitol citizens. Fuck you for cheering for my death because I'm dead now, and I'm extremely happy! I'm happy to be out of that damn world! I'm free, and you aren't! I am finally free." I can't help but laugh every single time the words escape from my lips. "Fuck you gamemakers! I bet I proved you wrong didn't I? I bet it made you look bad for giving me that two." Loud roars of laughter erupts from deep inside me filling the air around me surrounding me with joy.

I sit down under a circle of dancing fairies as joy dances inside me. I was so full of anger when I was in the arena. I was so angry at everyone. I was furious at Lucy for killing me, but I forgive her. It had to be done. She was fighting for her own survival, and it had to be my life she ended. I hated her when her blade sliced clear through the bone of my arm at the shoulder. I despised her for taking part of me away, and she had the honor of killing me. Is it an honor she got to kill me? Is it an honor that I'm dead now? Is it an honor to be happy again? Everything is an honor now. She killed me. She set me free. She sent me to this world I only dreamed about. I wish I could return for a moment to thank her because everything is perfect here. I don't hate her anymore. I don't hate anyone in the arena because they all have one goal, to return home. I'm not home, but I am the happiest I've ever been. "Dance with me fairies. I'll dance with you all night long. It'll be another great adventure."

I land on my knees. Somehow I must be alive if I can feel and smell again. I thought I died when Emery killed me, yet here I am. The arena is still very much fresh in my head. They must of left me to die. I'm still alive. Emery must of had mercy on me. I smile. Nothing would stop me from getting home now. I get up, but the effort and ease that I do so with frightens me. That's when I notice the arm that had been severed isn't gone anymore. Its there in full form. Hu..... Hu... how can this be? How is my arm not severed? I know it was severed off. I look around. Nothing indicates that I am still in the arena. Nothing appears to be the same when I was standing face to face with my killer Emery. The jabberwocky and the girl from twelve also helped kill me.

I break down in tears. The tears flow down my face soaking my clothes while doing so. No one would be here to criticize me for being weak. I proved to Cerise that I wasn't so weak. I had a hand in four tributes death along with wiping her out. That moment when I watched her drop dead had to be satisfying. Or at least I thought it been. I didn't realize until my own life was taken from me how bad it would hurt to take a life. I rise. My intention was to find someone in this new world. Somehow I'm alive in some capacity. The one thing that I love right now has to be the fact that the Capitol hasn't killed me for good. I'm back and better than ever. The Capitol will pay for what they have done to me and the things they made me do. "How's that huh? Couldn't kill me. I bet each and every one of you fuckers thought I would die, but here I am. I'm back and better than ever."

The fairies join in by my side as we dance around together. We laugh together. I move around not worrying about anything. I have nothing left to worry about. I am free from everything. It feels good to not have to worry about anything in the world. What is there to fear? I have nothing to fear anymore because I'm free from all fears. I'm free from the fear of dying. I died. I died a death that was too early for me, and I've spent days trying to adjust to the afterlife. I've tried to adjust to being dead, and i have. I have no more worries. I can't die again, and I'm definitely glad for that. Do I miss my family? It's something I've never thought about since I've died. I've been so happy enjoying my freedom. Maybe I am selfish, but it doesn't matter. I'm dead. I'm never going to be alive again. I'm definitely not selfish. If they want me to come back to that dreaded place, they are selfish. They will be, and I know they probably won't me home, but it's not going to happen ever again.

I dance around the trees that sprang up around me feeling as alive as I've ever felt. It's great knowing that the stories I read were true. I knew they were true the moment I saw the beanstalk in the arena. I knew it was true because it had to happen. Jack and the beanstalk was an amazing story. I don't even need books here because I walk beside them all. I don't need to read about them to see them because I do see them. They are real. I wonder what they'll do to my books now that I'm gone. Will they keep them? Will they trash them? Will someone read to Red? (I miss Red. I miss trying to read to him. I miss trying to allow him to escape to this world. I wish he could see how real it is.) I shake my head. I'm supposed to be happy. I am happy here because I dreamed about this place, and it actually exists. "How do you fairies do it? How do you dance around so much without tiring out? Teach me your ways. Teach me to become the perfect fairy." Giggles erupt as my words pierce the air around me.

All of the sudden, the fairies stop dancing and flee heading towards cover. My eyes widen as I stare at them. "No, you don't have to go. I was only beginning. Please don't leave me. I've only just got here." No matter how much pleading I do, the fairies continue to run away into the forest that's surrounding me. "I'm back and better than ever." A familiar voice rings through the air. A voice I heard a lot before I died. A voice that never belonged to any of my family, but I can't place the voice. I slowly start walking in the direction of where the voice rang out when my eyes widen. Jim! My pace picks up to a run as I head towards him, but I completely stop in my tracks. If Jim is here, that means he's dead doesn't it? It doesn't matter if he's dead. I can see him again. I've longed to find my fairies ~~friends~~ from the arena. "Jim!" I shout at the top of my lungs hoping he hears. "Jim? Is that you? Is that really you or am I hearing things?" Every single part of me hopes it's him, and not a joke.

I feel so relieved to know that the Capitol as failed. They think I'm dead don't they? Well, I know that I've proved them wrong in many ways. Who would of thought that a boy from three would outlast several careers. I helped kill two of them in some way. I even killed my own district partner. A seven? Hell a simple seven outlasted many others. No one believed that I would make it far. It's a relief to know that the games are over. To realize that the killing is done with, man that feels so good to me. I can hear a voice. Well this is intriguing. I thought I would be the only one here in this place. Silly me. There's a nearby branch that I spot with my eyes that I end up picking up. For now, I will defend myself. Its better safe than sorry, especially since this is Panem.

"Jim? Is that you? Is that really you or am I hearing things?" That voice. Its.... so familiar. That voice must be another sick game created by the Capitol. It would be just like them. Give me false hope only to snatch it away from me. Well fuck the Capitol. Lets see them try and touch me here. I slowly but surely advance toward the voice that I don't believe is real at all. Its just too good to be true. How can my brother Storm be here of all places with me? Its just not possible. I must be alive somewhere in the Capitol. They're probably torturing me or something, but this isn't real at all. My mind is being subjected to extreme torture. My brother Storm isn't alive!. I watched him die in my own arms. This isn't real. That much I know.

Yet, when I see Storm standing there, shock and joy are the two first things that come to mind. Joy, because maybe I have escaped the Capitol, and Storm is right here in front of me. Shock, because this could still be another trick of the Capitols. I walk to Storm with hesitation, stick raised in my hands. When nothing happens, I relax a bit. If this had been a trick by the Capitol, I would be dead or in pain."Storm, its really you brother. As happy as I am right now, I think we should look for Sticky and..... and..... Beatrice." I hesitate on wanting to find Beatrice. I hope Storm passes my hesitation on Beatrice as joy in finding each other again.

My heart prances in my chest as I call out for Jim. It feels like it's been an eternity since I've last seen him. Last time I saw him, I died in his arms. He held me as I died. He took away my fears of dying alone. He didn't leave me, or Beatrice. He stood by our sides saying goodbye. He didn't leave me like I had anticipated him doing so. The fairies had left me. They walked away from me while I was so far away from home unable to reach them. I was alone, but Jim didn't let me die alone. He's my bro, but if he's here, he's dead. If he's here, he's no longer living in that dreaded place, but it doesn't matter. We're together again. I start running in the direction I originally heard his voice holding onto that small hope that it's really him. I need it to be him. I need someone to be with me. I'm so lonely. (Nothing will ever compare to the company of another human.) I'm about to run into the opening when Jim appears before my eyes with a stick in his hand. My heart drops to the ground as tears form in my eyes.

I run towards him as fast as I can. I never thought I'd see him again. I never thought it was possible, but here he is standing before me. The tears start flowing freely down my face as I run, arms wide open, straight for Jim. I long for the embrace of my brother. I long to be near him. I long to feel him because I want to know if this is real. I want to make sure this is real. I'm dead. Nothing is real anymore. I'm not even real. I lunge at him wrapping my arms around his neck holding onto him as tight as I can never wanting to let go of him. Joy pulses through my veins as a large smile spreads across my face. "Jim! It's really you! Oh my gosh! I never thought I'd see you again! I thought when I died it was the last time I'd see you. I'm so happy to see you, Jim! You have no idea how happy I am!" I can't contain the excitement that's flowing through me. My brother is here with me. I'm no longer alone. But does this mean he's dead like me? Is he somehow still alive, but here with me?

I shake my head because none of that matters anymore. He's here. We're together again. "Storm, its really you brother. As happy as I am right now, I think we should look for Sticky and..... and..... Beatrice." I stare at him as my heart drops to the floor. I never expected those words to fall from the tip of his tongue, but they did. Sticky, Beatrice. My allies in the arena. Beatrice died before me. I died by her side. I was buried next to her; however, Sticky was alive and well when I died, just like Jim. Both of them were going strong. Sticky hadn't suffered much from the fights, but Jim had lost a thumb. "A-are they here too? Are they all here? Everyone?" I lower my gaze towards the ground not wanting to know his answer, but if they are here I want to find them. I want to be reunited with them. They were my family in the arena, and they are still my family even in death. "If they are here, I want to find them. I want to celebrate happiness with my family. You all are my family. You are my family."
