Love & Control (Axel)

Only a few people were powerful enough to abstract tears from Jesse, but only one of them had the ability to notice and comfort her. It wasn't as if Rainbow knew her true intentions, that it was all to keep them together. Once she understood that part though, she agrees. Leaving it at that isn't enough though, she notices the pain still consuming Jesse over the subject. Just the thought of them being pulled apart brought this horrible pain to her heart. So of course talking about it brought some tears.

If Maybe had the chance to simply finish her frenzy, pick up the remaining clothes, then her feelings will disappear. She was good a that, distracting herself to ignore her feelings. There was no one to take care of her, she was the mom of the family...well except for Rainbow, because she refused to allow Maybe to stuff more pain deeper inside of her. She's pulled from her cleaning and is embraced by Mary Ellen's arms and words.

Everything is agreed to, wearing the clothes Maybe picked out, going to school with one another, staying together. Mary Ellen claims she'd die before they were separated, and would never leave her willingly. Of course she knew that, but the school and the capitol could careless about what they were willing to do. And dying? "You better not die." Jesse comments, choking a bit on her words. "You better come find me." Oh no, the tears. She buries her face in Mary Ellen's shoulder, always hating to let anyone see her cry.

Rainbow's biggest strength was her care and comfort and she probably didn't even realize it. No one would ever think so when they first meet the girl, but her heart's as big as Maybe's. While Maybe's distracted with her feelings, Rainbow brings her back over to the bed. Just as she does for baby tears whenever she's really sad, Mary Ellen cradles Jesse with a gentle rock. How Jesse would love to forget about school and stay curled up in her girlfriend's comfort all day.

It was true that Rainbow never broke a promise, not when it came to Maybe at least. Anything that she needed, Rainbow would do. They truly loved one another. It wasn't about school, but correcting her was unimportant. She agreed to go to school. "I just want you." Maybe pulls out without removing her face from Mary Ellen's shoulder. She's pulled off the warm, comforting lap. Now Rainbow was the one taking charge for school? How her love was so amazing.

The cradling isn't the end to being treated like a baby, though Maybe didn't mind. Comfort wasn't ever given before she met Rainbow, she only gave the comfort. So as Mary Ellen began to pull off Maybe's night shirt and slip on a sweatshirt. The tears couldn't help but fade away, and the corners of a smile upon Rainbow brings a slight one to Maybe's face as well. A pink flower is placed above her ear, the finishing touch. They exchanged each other's tops and the smell of Mary Ellen was so pleasant. Just what she needs if they're separated into two different classes.

"Except for you." Jesse comments to Mary Ellen's compliment on being the prettiest girl at school, even more beautiful then a picture. No one else was able to actually make Rainbow feel beautiful, and she fully intended on giving it back. She watches as her love dresses, a smiling creeping to her lips with how lucky she is. Though she'd love to her more filled in, not so skin and bones.

Maybe didn't even consider also pulling on some pants for herself, to distracted with gazing at Rainbow. Her lips finally snaps her out of it, a small kiss, and a small bite on her bottom lip. How torturing, she already made her desire clear that'd she'd much rather spend the day with Rainbow, alone. Apparently the convincing kiss worked both ways. Still they were going today. After they could stay alone in each other's arms for as long as they'd like.

"You'd better get a pair of jeans on Jesse, it's hard to blend in if you walk around the district like that, even if I do enjoy the view." A joke is cracked and Rainbow suggests for Maybe to put some bottoms on. Apparently she could get out everyone else's outfit except for herself. Jesse actually giggles for a second with Mary Ellen's last comment, redness filling her cheeks. Quickly she grabs a hold on an old long pink skirt that matched the flower in her hair. For extra warmth she slips on the leggings that Rainbow forgot to place on. Maybe it wasn't as cold outside as much for her.



"Tears doesn't feel well." Maybe informs as she returns to the kitchen and takes a piece of apple. "So it looks like it's just me and you. She goes to school more then I do so I'm not worried." Being the youngest Maybe constantly forced her to go to school, walking her there but never going herself. A small twelve year old didn't need to be surrounded by older bad influences twenty-four seven. "Did you eat?" Maybe questions.

Once they finally leave Maybe takes a risky leap and grabs ahold of Rainbow's hand, to show her how proud she was. They were going to school, she truly didn't think this was actually going to work. It's freezing out, but at least the warmth exchange through their hands is helping. They had a while before they'd reach the population, have to separate their hands. But for now, they can be true to one another. "Thank you." A small smile finds it's way to Maybe's face as she turns to Rainbow, happy to have her by her side.
