Liliwai, District 11

Lili is of average if slightly short height, with a slender but toned build. She has slightly pale skin, and long, curly auburn hair (which is often quite windswept and tangled). She has a light sprinkle of freckles across her nose, which slopes like a ski jump except for a slight bump in the middle. She has average sized lips, and hazel eyes. Her eyebrows are slightly bushy.

Lili's hands are rough and slender, from years of practice climbing trees. She has extremely toned arms and legs from extensive martial arts training (as mentioned in the History section) and also from climbing trees, although most wouldn't notice her muscle because she is very slim.

Lili is very sarcastic, and will not miss an opportunity to use this "skill". She is a bit of a joker, but is also very pessimistic. She usually quips about how bad a situation is, or about how much worse it can become.

She shows an aptitude for music (singing) and art, and sometimes sneaks away during working working hours to sketch and sing softly under the safety of the rich, dark foliage. She also likes to write.

She is good at hiding and is very quick, like a shadow. She is, however, very quick to anger, which has caused her problems in the past. She does not make friends easily, because she is rather judgemental, and overthinks peoples' actions. She will, however, stand up for the few friends she has, even against Peacekeepers, as she is very brash. Most of them are boys.

She mostly keeps to herself, but flares up if someone speaks badly about her, her family, or her friends. Usually, she will attack the offender.

Her sarcastic remarks often cause people to dislike her, but she meets an occasional person who can look past the offense and see the humor. She is also quite talented at detecting tones in others' voices.

She has two male friends whom she has respect for, but harbours a slight mistrust of them even so, because of what happened to her older sister. She had one other friend (a female) who died in a tragic accident in the plantations due to heat and overexertion.

When Lili's older sister was younger, she was a victim of a sexual assault by a group of men. She didn't want this to happen to Lili, so she and their father trained her to fight in the safety of their home at night.
Her mother died when, ironically, she fell out of a tree. This was actually quite recent.

Her older brother was reaped to participate in the 53rd Hunger Games. She would've volunteered, or perhaps punched a Peacekeeper in the face, but she was too young, and her mother held her back. The bump on the bridge of her nose (previously mentioned in the Appearance section) was caused by a time when she got into a fight with her brother the day before the Reaping of the Hunger Games. She can't remember what the fight was about, but she started it.

She works in the plantation area, and acts as a lookout in the trees, as she is just short of the strength that is needed for hard labor. She and the other lookouts often take turns sneaking away to have spare time; they have an oath between the five of them to switch off every day.
