Mixxi Serpentine - District 9

An average height, very slender girl, Mixxi finds herself consistently malnourished due to the lack of nutrition in her everyday diet of bread and cheese. To be specific about her weight and height, she is just underweight for her height weighing 70lb while she stands at a little over 5'4". Her skin is a light olive and is accentuated by being out in the sun for most parts of the day. Both her eyes are hazel brown in colour which are defined by her dark to light brown hair. Due to sun bleaching, she possesses a natural array of colours. Her cheek bones are her defining feature having become extremely prominent due to her sunken in cheeks. In the bust area, she is considerably flat chested.

Normally, she is found in loose fitting and moth eaten clothes. Her usual outfit consists of a tatty button up long sleeve which during the colder months has a vest over the top of it. Long legged pants are normally worn and occasionally, torn up denim jeans for the summer months. A scarf or hat is normally draped around her neck or placed on her head in order to give her some feeling of being a normal teenage girl.

When you consider the type of person that Mixxi is, the first assumption you make is concluded by her name. Mixxi seems like a fairly innocent childish name but she is far from it. This teenager possesses a silver tongue which she often uses in order to manipulate others and get her own way and win in sibling disputes. She has a fiery attitude and a stubbornness to match it believing that she requires no support from anyone else. Often pushing the boundaries within District 9, she finds herself always in quarrels with the Peacekeepers which can lead to her becoming injured. This hardly deters her and she wears her injuries with a certain pride.

Inside though, she is seriously insecure about herself as a person and just craves for someone to crack through her rough exterior. She'll never let on though and it'll take a tough cookie to get through as she has surrounded herself in such a thick, thorny shell she's not sure if she would be able to handle another person getting so close to her. Of her many flaws, the most definite is her inability to let others help her another would almost certainly have to be her eagerness and willingness to pick fights with the peacekeepers. An unusual quirk she has is she is deathly afraid of water. Having never learned to swim in the high and dry area of district 9, she has no intention and no want to get anywhere near large expanses of water. Even deep wells give her the willies.

Lastly, we can move on to her pros. Mixx is very skilful with a spear to the point where she can throw from a distance of 229 feet and still hit her target. Unable to practice as much as she would like, she often sharpens hers on the porch of her ramshackle home. Family is her beacon and she would do anything to protect them.

As a young girl, Mixxi was the middle child having a brother and a sister older than her and two sisters and a brother younger than her. This large family is due to the fact they require every last hand in order to bring in some source of income to the family. All the sisters and herself contributed to helping with her mother in her daily routines such as washing and cooking while her two brothers and father went out to barter and work within the factories. Home schooled by her mother, she received a rough education and managed to just pass her core subjects of maths and English. Both her older brother and older sister, eventually left home in order to start their own families.

Now at the age of fourteen, she was tasked with way more responsibility than before due to the absence of the eldest siblings. Hardly having any free time for herself, she became bitter and stubborn when it came to disputes regarding her time off. Her first love came and went and this fortress she was building for herself was only strengthened by this. No one became close to her again as she began to cut off close contact with her family. Still, Mixx loved them dearly, but she couldn't stand to let herself get hurt again should anything happen to them.

At the age she is now, a wonderful sixteen year old, Mixxi has managed to balance her time between practising her spear with her father and helping out around the house with her chores. With her mother heavily pregnant again, she has taken on the matriarch role of making sure at least one meal is on the table everyday. In the future, she hopes that the forests for hunting will open up again and there will be the tremendous fall of the Capital Empire.
