Panem, District Four, at home because SURPRISE BABY (mother wasn’t expecting him two weeks early)

Harris Conwall and Lilian Conwall nee Ace
Harris was a Peacekeeper, but actually wanted rebellion. Was found out when Nuada was about five and taken away. He was crazy, tbh.
Lilian is a seamstress and makes her living as such, for the both of them. She’s very mild and unassuming.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

No siblings.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

Homeeeee, home on the beachhhhhh. He and his mother live in a VERY small house. It literally has one bedroom, one tiny common room, a little kitchen that sometimes doesn’t work, and a tiny bathroom. Sometimes they just bathe in the sea cause the water doesn’t function properly.

What is your occupation?

Nuada is only eighteen. As of the present, he is just kinda putzin’ about. He helps his mom sometimes with her pieces. He knows how to sew and knit and crochet and is quite good with all three, so his mom makes use of him. Other than that, I guess you could say he’s a brawler. He’s been a part of many a street fight. He also dances.

About six four and two hundred and two pounds. Well defined muscles, everyyyywhereeeee. Legs are built from dancing and running, arms and core are built from fighting. Hair is usually a medium brown, almost chestnut-like color. It grows out a fair bit often, but as of the present it isn’t able to be pulled up. It’s a bit shaggy looking though. Not very well brushed. His eyes are dark dark dark brown and they look black in most light. (Some brawlers have taken to calling him BlackEye. This could also be due to his affinity for giving people black eyes, however.) Skin is a golden-y tan in the summer, but he really effing hates the cold so he’s pale as a ghost in the winter, tbh. Not many scars except for a thin line on the right side of his face from about an inch above his eye down to his cheekbone (does not cross over eye, is next to it). Weapons generally not allowed in brawls, so he’s mostly had only bruising. Is often covered in said bruises. Small birthmark on the backside of his left hand, it’s a bit oblong, but pretty nondescript and very light in color. Upper lip is a little thin, so his gums show a bit more when he’s smiling. Bottom lip is very full, though. Very pink lips. His grin is very childlike and shows off a LOT of teeth cause damn he got a big mouth. Upper left canine chipped and flat looking. Pretty flat nose. Wears sweatpants a lot when dancing or fighting, but when he’s just being normal he wears jeans a lot, usually more fitted. Likes regular old t-shirts to lounge in, but when he’s feeling fancy he adores button-downs and bow-ties and cardigans. Loose knit sweaters are great too. And zip-up hoodies. Mmm. Leather jacket is a must when he’s tryin’ to look cool, mang. Likes wearing no shoes, but usually just wears beat up old combat boots or canvas shoes. Really actually prefers as little clothing as possible, so it’s not rare for him to be shirtless or pantsless, tbh. FREEDOM.

Lowerclass, mang. He and his mother make a pittance, what with her sewing business and his little bets from the brawls.

Allergic to bees, yo. Keep those effers away.

Ambidextrous, but tends to favor his right hand.

What does your voice sound like?

Medium in range, but a little bit husky when he gets angry. Breathy as well when he’s angry. When he’s excited, he tends to enunciate things more than he needs to and gets a little more high pitched.

“Melonfucker.” “Douchewaffle.” (he’s the one who taught Noah these very colorful curses).

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

He likes to make faces at people. They could be suggestive, highly inappropriate, or just flat out weird. This usually involved lots of raised eyebrows, smirking, fluttering his lashes, wiggling his tongue, licking his lips, pursing his lips. It usually winds up just being creepy rather than seductive.
He also rubs his hands a lot. His joints in his fingers are all sore from fighting. He cracks them a lot too.
Sometimes he just spins in circles when he tunes out.

How would you describe your childhood in general?

Not horrible, surprisingly. Poor as dirt, pretty much, but he was always a bit taller than other boys and learned to fight. He was pretty good at that and he thought it was a fun way to release steam, like dancing, so he was cool with it.

What is your earliest memory?

Really mundane, but blinking at the ceiling and making shapes out of shadows. After that, though, it would probably be dad teaching him how to write.

How much schooling have you had?

Through high school, but didn’t pay attention as much the last two years, so probably to sophomore year.

Did you enjoy school?

It was okay, but it got boring. Nuada kind of need constant motion and crap. School kind of frowned upon his hyperactivity at times.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

Probably from the brawlers. They’re a patchwork group of people and they’ve raised him, to a certain extent. With no dad, they kind of stepped up. Some of the brawlers are a little older too. Dads themselves. They’re all just there to fight and survive.

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

This one guy in the group, Haleon, is like, dang. He’s the bomb, though. All about manners and propriety and respect and service, but like, he will fucking you up big time, man. He holds no punches. He’s rough as they get, but he still seems so noble and classy. He helped to shape Nuada a lot, even though he’s only like 25.

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

He and his mother are peaches. They get along great. She worries about him fighting a lot, but it also brings in more money, so she can’t really reprimand him for it. She doesn’t tell him, but she’s pretty sure they’d be out on the street if not for him fighting.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Oh, he just wanted to dance. And not like street dancing, though he does enjoy that. Ballet. He loves it. It’s so graceful and beautiful and it just gets to him. He wanted to be a ballerino.

As a child, what were your favorite activities?

Dancing. Though, he did also love playing in the sea. And climbing trees. And catching fireflies.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

He was a sweet little thing and fiercely devoted to what he loved. Most prevalent though was his lack of an off switch. He was always moving and doing and being. It was uncontrollable.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?

Well, he was well liked. I guess you could say Nuada was popular. He had a lot of friends, but not many CLOSE friends. Less friends the older he got cause he kept dancing and people thought that was girly. When he was scouted for the brawlers at like 14, he gained a whole new group of friends. Yay.

When and with whom was your first kiss?

Sixteen, Noah Ripley, doesn’t really count. Nuada’s excitable. Noah joined the brawlers at 13, when Nuada was 16. When Noah won his first fight, Nuada ran over to him, grabbed his little baby face, and laid one on him. A big ole’ wet smooch, only like half actually on his lips. And he was like “YAY NOAH MAN OMG AHAHA THAT WAS BRILL YOU WERE BRILLL” and Noah was like “man get off I am bleeding” and he was like “and you were like BAM and he was like AHH and you were like YESS and then he kicked you in the FACEEEEEE. And then you punched his LIGHTS OUT.” And noah is like done and walking away and like “I KNOW, LIR. I WAS THERE. SHUT THE FUCK UP. MY NOSE IS BLEEDING.”
Other than that, he has not been kissed.

Despite the lewd faces he makes, he’s a virgin.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Probably his dad being taken, being approached by the brawlers, or noah dying. Or meeting noah. All of those are VERY important.

Who has had the most influence on you?

The Capitol, Haleon, mother, Noah.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

winning a fight. Taking care of the fam.

What is your greatest regret?

never really knowing dad

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

uh. He’s not really a bad person at all. He’s really innocent. Probably just fighting dirty. He definitely kicked Noah in the balls before during a brawl, ngl.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind?

Once cited for fighting.

When was the time you were the most frightened?

Hearing Peacekeepers come to take away dad, tbh. Horrifying.
Close second was seeing Noah get hurt every single effing time it happened.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?

Noah pantsing him in front of the entire group, but then he got revenge and owned it and walked around without his pants for the rest of the night. He was wearing boxer briefs, but still.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

Dad not taken, Noah not dead. Both vitally important people to his functioning.

What is your best memory?

Any fight with Noah. Any moment with Noah. That one time in particular that they just sat down on the beach in the dead of night on the hottest day of summer and talked about their fears and dreams and really became best friends.

What is your worst memory?

Dad being taken. Seeing Noah die.

Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

Optimistic.

What is your greatest fear?

Losing mother. Dying without really helping anyone.

What are your religious views?

Doesn’t really have any in particular. Believes in some kind of higher power, but doesn’t really understand it.

Fuck the Capitol.

What are your views on sex?

Don’t really get the point. I mean, go ahead and do it, but Nuada doesn’t really give a fuck? He’s not really interested. Kind of asexual, in a sense.

If the time came when he had to, I don’t think he could. He’d beat the shit out of someone, but he has an honor code thanks to Haleon.

In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

Kill. Give up on another human being.

Meh. Possibly. He has yet to see it happen, but doesn’t deny it could be true.

Passion.

Pretty damn honest. Maybe most people don’t know the extent of his absolute hatred of the Capitol, or how much he wants to rebel. Yeah.

Not really, unless you count against the Capitol. Can’t even really hate Peacekeepers cause his dad and also some of the other men in the district.

Kill someone. Most definitely. Just a hugeeeee sense of honor and stuff.

He’d die for rebellion, his mother, probably Haleon.

He’s like REALLY friendly with any and every person he meets. Like, lemmie smooch ya on the cheek and hug you lots.

Mother, cause she’s the bomb diggity.

Dad, for standing up for what he believed in. Mother, for being strong in his wake. Noah, for fighting, always fighting. Fitz, for giving himself up for others. Haleon, for being so noble.

Noa- oh well fuck. No one, apparently. If he had to choose AFTER Noah, probs Haleon, but he’s more a mentor, less a bff. So, no one really. Oops.

Wake up, clean up, eat a little, help mom in shop, eat more, help more, eat again, go to brawls, stay out most of the night, come back early, sleep a little. Not eating messes him up a lot.

Free. Oh, you mean. Well, Nuada would want to go out swinging. No being taken away quietly. He’d want it to be a tooth and nail fight to the death.

Nuada, don’t you ever lose sight of what you find important. Don’t you ever forget all that you have come from and all the people who have touched your life. Do right by them, but also do right by yourself. Fight, little dancer. Fight till your fists fall off, and then use your teeth instead.
