Alexis Horne, Peacekeeper

Alexis doesn't fit what would typically be considered the stereotypical archetype of somebody in her role; she doesn't have a large build nor is she extremely tall. Standing at only 5' 5", Alexis may not initially seem like much, especially when next to her larger counterparts. As previously stated, she doesn't even possess a large build despite being athletically fit. due to the nature of her role, this is almost to be expected, however.

Alexis' hazel eyes are said to be her best feature, carrying a slight golden hue. Along with that she also possesses long brunette hair that she almost always wears in a bun under her Peacekeeper helmet. Untied it reaches down past her shoulder blades. Surprisingly, Alexis also has a bit of a fierce appearance due to a facial scar that runs from behind her left eye almost down to her jaw.

As expected of somebody in her position, Alexis tends to put out a very stoic outwards appearance. This no doubts stems from the sense of duty and authority that has been implanted in her from a young age; she is typically the first to follow rules regardless of their moral implications.

Alexis' exterior traits perhaps stem from the much more disastrous trait of having to always be ahead of others, she had inherited from her father. With that in mind, perhaps one could consider her to be an over-achiever in some areas. This trait combined with her respect of authority makes for a dangerous combination that is quick to enforce the rules of Panem, often with complete disregard for others.

Alexis was born in District 2 to a pair of Capitol loyal citizens. While her father formerly served as a Peacekeeper, her mother took on the more menial tasks at home such as cooking and cleaning. Naturally, through her father Alexis picked up Capitol ideals from a young age; her father often told her stories of some of the more highlighted moments in his career. This excited a young Alexis and right from a young age. Between that and being forced to watch the Career Tributes from her district be whisked off to the Hunger Games(and very often win), she decided there was only two possible paths for her to take: Peacekeeper or Gamemaker.

The goals of being either a Peacekeeper or Gamemaker faded from Alexis' mind as she aged. As typical in her district, the day she turned 12 marked the beginning of her training for the games. She knew that from then she was expected to become a champion, not only for her district but for her parents' sake as well. Their true colours had begun to show again, in that they were only interested in raising an exceptional child and what was more exceptional than a Hunger Games champion?

Every year after her twelfth birthday Alexis attended The Reaping, eagerly awaiting the year she would volunteer. It was a position she had come to view with honour, only to have it selfishly stolen from her. During the Reaping after her eighteenth birthday Alexis' name had been drawn, but just as she was about to walk up and take her place atop the stage a fellow trainee and rival had volunteered. Alexis was initially furious, but quickly got over it after realizing her rival had made it into the top five in her games. She had to support this girl upon realizing her male counterpart had been arrogant and got killed early on. However, it was this girl's eventual downfall that set Alexis down her own path. No longer being eligible for Reaping and feeling cheated out of a position that was supposed to be hers, she realized she would have to obtain honour in a different way. She again turned to the very path she had been so fascinated with as a child: Peacekeeper.

Alexis' decision to train as a Peacekeeper was met with great enthusiasm from her father who worked to prepare his daughter mind and body for what he perceived to be a prestigious position. He knew his daughter had to be one of the best, perhaps as a tribute to how he viewed his own career and as a testament to his desire to be ahead of others. This left Alexis with a strained relationship with her father that to this day has yet to be mended.

Despite her training and her father's guidance, Alexis' career was initially off to a rocky start. Shortly after graduation she was assigned to District 12. Being a newcomer and one of the few females on the force, Alexis was immediately pressured by her male counterparts to "prove herself". This quickly got her in trouble(hence her facial scar), but fortunately for her she had been transferred to a district which happens to have more serious Peacekeepers: District 11. This is where she works currently.
