Name: Luna Shim
Age: 15
Gender: Female
District/Area: 5
Appearance:
Luna is not the tallest person, only standing at a height of 5'5 with dirty blonde hair that drops midway down her back. Her bangs sweeps across her grey eyes that were always an interesting sight to see. As beautiful as her stunning grey eyes are, Luna hated them. They reminded her of her sister. She gets irritated when someone looks at her in the eye for too long. She usually lets her hair down unless she had something physical to do. Her clothes were all worn out since they were passed down from her sister.
Formal Appearance- Her Formal appearance, is not much different, she has a beautiful pink dress, that runs down to her legs, but it looks a bit faded which makes it look even more pretty on her from her personality she worked the dress. Her hair is usually curled, almost looked like a Unicorns' horn and on her shoulder. She wears heels, just so she can look taller because she sometimes hates being called Midget.
Personality:
Luna tried to be nice but it's not a very easy task. She doesn't understand a lot of complicated words and she hates it when she has to make a fool of herself over and over again to ask. She's thick skinned, or at least trying to be, so that what other's say doesn't affect her. She sometimes get to the point of just plain rude as well. Her perfectionist side gives her that need for everything that she does to be perfect. Truth be told, no one really knows what Luna is like. Not even herself. She feels insecure of that. To her, to her mother, she's just a carbon copy of her sister. Or is suppose to be. Her own life has no value or motive, not even to live as Luna Shim.
She doesn't understand words a lot of those really difficult words and she hates it. Whenever she has to give a definition of a word she has never even seen in her life her mind is just plain old blank. Along with that, she hates spelling so she barely spells correctly. When people say that she's fat, lazy, helpless, stupid, she doesn't really care because its their opinion and she can probably do that better than them own her own. Along with that she gets called a weakling- her reaction to that is to throw a knife in the wall and it sticks.
Her rudeness stands out when she's with her friends. One minute she could be smiling and laughing than when someone comes up and teases her, she could be as heartless as a teddy bear. Her perfectionism comes in when she tries to figure out one of those complicated words, she stammers and guesses randomly, but fails a lot. Secondly, she tries to perfect her friendship with others, she starts crying and breaking down when her friends start fighting with each other which doesn't happen often but still happens.
History:
Luna really did once loved her sister. Their family only had the money to send one of them to school and they chose to give Audrey the privilege. After their father died, money issues were even tighter than before. Audrey was the one that came home everyday and taught Luna little by little; how the read, how to write, how to protect herself. Luna preferred being taught by her sister anyways than go to school, but she never thought that Audrey wouldn't be alive long enough to teach her more. She remembered her sister's words that were ever so often used on Raquel, which were too her last words to her little sister, "He who asks is a fool for five minutes. He who never asks, is a fool forever." Audrey taught Luna to always just ask and not pretend to understand when you don't.
Her mother let her watch the Hunger Games for the first time, and it was terrifying. Audrey was too nice. And the nice always die first. Oh, did you think Aubrey was in the games? Oh, no. She died of pneumonia And thus her education stopped there. She was never taught how to work and she doesn't know a thing about mechanics and transportation. Her mother is always to busy too help her in any way. She kept telling Luna to grow up and make yourself useful for once. But what can she do? The only thing Audrey taught her is to keep herself safe from the bad guys. She was useless. Everyone says that. Sometimes she just sit around the work sites and listen in to what people say, trying to learn and pick up things.
But she'd never made it far without having questions to ask with no one to answer. Every time her mother stares at her useless daughter she always ranted, "Why can't you be more like your sister?!" Because she was too perfect. And it killed her. What sister? You mean the stranger in the mirror every time I look? I hate her. It's because of her that it's like I don't really exist at all. A shell for her soul. I hate her. I want Luna back. I don't want Audrey anymore. I hate her.
