Alright, to work the dice you first have to put a dice roll into your post. In order to do that you have to insert the code [*roll range="200+__000] into your post - without the asterisk (*). In the underlined section you would place a number between 1 and 13 in order to signify it's an attack from a certain weapon.200+1000
The numbers work like this
1000 is a sword attack (also "sword")
2000 is a knife attack (also "knife")
3000 is a spear attack (also "spear")
4000 is a bow & arrow attack (also "bow")
5000 is an unarmed attack (also "unarmed")
6000 is a whip attack (also "whip")
7000 is a club or blunt weapon attack (also "blunt")
8000 is a miscellaneous blunt projectile (also "projectile")
9000 is a thrown knife attack (also "throwing knife")
10000 is a thrown axe attack (also "throwing axe")
11000 is an axe attack (also "axe")
12000 is a flail attack (also "flail")
13000 is a pole sword attack (also "glaive")
So if I were to attack someone with a sword I would then put [*roll range="200+1000"] (or [*roll range="sword"] at the end of my post. It would look something like this;
vA5tZDxE200+1000
Now I would have to find how much damage I just did. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Attack Lookup" box in the side bar.
In my example I ended up with the number 1020 which correlates with the attack of "Shallow Cut on Forehead" and caused 4.5 damage.
There are a few different main ranges of damage, depending on the weapon you use.
Miss is 0.0 damage
Block is 0.0 damage
Bruise or Welt is 1.5 - 2.5
Gash/Bruise is 3.0 - 4.5
Shallow Cut is 3.5 - 4.5 damage
Broken [bone] is 5.5 - 7.5
Deep Gash is 8.0 - 10.0 damage
Instantaneous Death "Insta" is marked with an X
There are a couple other types of injuries, but those are the main ones.
