Another year passed. Another year safe. Bella walked out of the door because she got tired of listening to her dad rammer on and on about last years games. He talked about how she could of easily been the victor this year. He also talked about what mistakes the Careers made so they died and to avoid doing to same. He acts like the Games are some sort of party, the normal Career attitude. I can't believe you still talk about this, Dad. It's not funny anymore, I'm older now and I know what losing the games mean. The wager you make with death is your life. The peacekeeper shut up about the games shortly afterward.
Bella knew that he would return to talking about it. Weather it was today, tomorrow, or next week, he would return. She relieved her stress the same way she always does, training. Her father always thought she was wanting to prepare for the games, get ready for the fight. She was really pretending that that dummy was him. He abused her and her mom, Petunia. One time he got so mad at Petunia that he stabbed her in the eye. She barely survived to experience. Bella will never forgive him for he is not worthy to be trusted. No matter how hard he tries to hide it, he is a killer and she is a killers daughter. Everybody in the training center associates her to him, leaving her with few friends. He is what she is fighting against, in every aspect of her life.
Bella takes her sword and gets ready to strike. You will never be forgiven. You should not be allowed to live. She swings her sword, sending the dummy's head flying. She is training alone because no one else wants to be with the "hot headed, cold-hearted freak" as they call her. She wouldn't mind it if it wasn't related to her father. Most of them don't even know her, just her family name. That' is the only reason she wants to go to and win the Hunger Games. The name Cox needs some actual glory for a change, not fear. Some of them just don't like her because she is not quick to forgive, one of the few ties between her and her
She trains there for about an hour before she got bored. She grabs two swords and goes back ten meters. From there she throws one of her swords and it lands in the stomach. Possibly not fatal, but not bad for a luck shot. She continues to hope that this stunt will cause someone to look at her and to end her anxiety. Someone who doesn't know her terrible peacekeeper of a father figure.
