Appearance:

Nathaniel, (or Nathan, as he prefers to be called) has light brown hair and blue eyes. A rare combination that somehow came genetically came to him from a blond father and brunette mother. He has strong facial features and holds himself in good posture at all times. Shoulders back, broad chest out. He stands about 6’1, 190 pounds. There is hardly any fat on him as he takes good care of his body. He dresses well. Often dress pants and shirt, a tie and jacket to go as well. His appearance is always something he prides himself upon, but that is normal for his line of work.

He is strong, but not from his work. He made sure to put in the necessary time whenever he was younger with the ever evident possibility of being called into the games. Thankfully, he was never chosen. He is strong enough to lift 200 pounds, perhaps more if properly motivated. He is an excellent runner, with excellent pace and quickness. Agility basically came along with everything else. A pure athlete as he might be considered. It is rare for someone such as that to appear in his district, not necessary known for people of that type.

He does not have a lot of physical flaws, to say the least. He appears very handsome and well-built to everyone that meets him. For those that know him best will not that his left knee is an ailment. Whenever he sits for too long it aches. He does not have problems with it whenever he is moving. He knows it is cartilage damage but is no fan of doctors so he just lets it fester.

Personality:

Nathan is smart. He knows he is smart. He tries his best not to flaunt it all that much. It does have a tendency to come out. Normally it emerges whenever he is speaking with someone that is equally as intelligent or smarter and that person is trying to prove it to Nathan. He has a low tolerance for people of that sort. Knowledge is something that is never entirely learned. You can never know everything and for people that believe they do… he has a few choice words for those.

He is naturally a kind person. He keeps to himself unless he is working. He has no choice but to interact with other people in that instance. As mentioned before. He does not have a problem with people, however, they can rather quickly become annoying for him.

Nathan is normally rather trusting, however it is normally to meet his own needs. The world is eat or be eaten. That is simply how he views things. The strongest survive and that is all there is to it. If you need to trust someone so as to gain their trust then it can not be avoided. It also does not mean that he would not have plans in place in case his trust was misplaced. He is full of plans and designs that are always in the shadows, only known to himself or individual people around him, only knowing pieces at a time. In a sense, Nathan is a giant gig saw puzzle that no one can complete.



History:

From past to present, Nathan has been a business man; A rather genius one at that. His district sort of demands that. Nathan grew up as most children did in the system, under the dictator ship of the Capital. The Capital of course has a very strong influence over the upper districts and it was difficult to believe anything other than what was taught to you. Nathan’s parents were ‘puppets’ to the system really, believing everything they were told since they were young as well. For their sake, they were also very intelligent inventors. Both working the avionics, and creating technology that was truly ahead of its time. Perhaps this was their undoing as well.

Nathan, as a young child was bright. He learned quickly and excelled through his classes. He graduated from classes whenever he was 16, and went on to further his education at what the Districts considered colleges. He graduated whenever he was 19. His specialty was in power; how to make an efficient power source, news ones, the old ones, how they could be improved and every element of how they worked. He learned the sources for power. What needed power. What could do without power. Which types of power would be best for each device that was being fueled by it.

He inherited a good amount of respect because of who his parents were and what had happened to them. He also inherited a very good amount of wealth from their accident as well. He wasn’t the sort to simply cast this wealth and unfortunate chance away. He invested the money and soon had his own power company. He was quick to generate contracts from the Capital itself and was quickly able to not have to worry about the financial accept of his company, considering the fact that the Capital would always be in need of power sources and was furthering his research of such sources. The only downside to having a Capital contract is that the Capital monitors your activity very closely. So closely in fact that there are two Capital guards at his business every day and two or three more supervisors. This does not really bother Nathan all that much. The Capital wishes to keep an eye on him and he in turn wishes to keep an eye on them.

Nathan had always been wary of the Capital since the ‘accident’. It opened his eyes to a few things. Of course, he would never speak of any of this to anyone, but since the accident occurred, he has begun to arrange a handful of different things. He has a lot of resources at his disposal but he is very hesitant as to how he should use it. No one can truly be trusted and almost everyone can be bought. Two things that can be used for positive and negative means. Nathan is young, yet he is ambitious and intelligent. It is truly a ruthless combination.
