I see someone by me throwing knives in the career center. He has dark hair the color of thunder clouds. He looks quite dangerous while he throws a knife right into a dummy's heart. He walks over and pulls the knife out of the dummy in one swift, fluid motion. I brush my silver-blonde hair out of my eyes. I grab three knives off the table and throw them one after the other really fast. The first his strait into the dummy's heart. The second his the middle of it's right hand, and the third hits in the middle of the head knocking it off. Bull's eye. I blow a wisp of hair in my eyes out of the way as I walk over to retrieve each knife.

As I do that I think about Mantel Scoff. So young to die. So small. Snaped in half by Beatrice's sword who then died from Cerise. Cerise. Just saying her name in my head makes me think of her small body. Thinking of that I think of Lucy. She was happy and sweet until she got into that arena. Then I think about Hope. A little girl being forced to kill. From sweet to swearing in a second. Do I really want to go in there? I think to myself.

He throws another knife straight to the stomach. He is smirking now. His name is Jason or something. He's kind of hulky. I pick up another knife and test it in my hand. I throw it strait to the dummies head again. "I'm impressed." I say to him in my smooth, silky voice. I flip my hair to the back of my headand let it fall down my shoulders. For some reason I start to think about Emery and Iago for some reason.

I feel slightly embarrassed but I don't show it as he asks, "What's your name?" He does a little hair flip which is kind of cool. I don't hesitate as I throw another knife into the dummies heart as I say,"Jade Saffron. What's yours?" I should know better. I know him now. As I asked that I remember. His name is Jason Beg and he cheats on girls all the time. I have to be careful around him.

I think about all those poor girls Jason has cheated on. Am I next? I suppose maybe I should surprise him. Go along with how I think he thinks is going to happen. My breath quickened. I could feel my heart pounding in my shirt. I'm quite scared and I have butterflies in my stomach. Big Amazon butterflies. I stare deeply into his eyes. I'm not sure what to say so I remain silent for a while. "I haven't seen you around recently." I say.

"I'm always around." He says. I actually haven't seen him recently. "Well I haven't seen you recently." I say. I know he's starting to think that I'm another one of those dumb girls he cheats on. I'm going to show him I'm not. I pick up a spear and throw it into the dummies right hand. I don't know what to say so I'm waiting for him to talk. The butterflies are back in my stomach and I get a feeling something is going to happen soon.

"Not impressed?" I say incredulously. "A. I'm practicing on smaller targets. B. Where I hit the dummy a real person would bleed to death." I'm getting kind of angry right now but I don't show it. The butterflies are gone but I still have that lurking feeling that something is about to happen. I toss my hair over my shoulder and I start to scrutinize him through my blue eyes. He's actually kind of hot. With his hair like that and his hunkiness.

I know what he's thinking right now. She's pretty but dumb. That's what everybody thinks I'm a dumb Blondie. God this dude's a bit**. "You think I'm dumb. I know it. It's the way you look at me so just go away if you think I'm so dumb!" I'm angry now. My face is flushed red. I can tell he thinks I'm dumb by the way he looks a me. Even the way he said why my reasoning is wrong! I'm starting to see why the girls he cheated on hate him besides the chasing part.
