Welcome To Schola De Panem VIII
We missed you over the summer.PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Greetings Schola De Panem VIII students and families. Welcome to the new school year! I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and getting to know new ones in the opening months of this school year.
Having been the principal of this school for numerous years, I am privileged with once again holding this position and being able to aid staff and students alike. This school is wonderfully focused on a goal of success for each student and I hope the tradition will continue. I look forward to working with the teaching, support and administrative staff of the school, the students, and out parents community to continue to build a culture of high expectations for student learning and citizenship.
In the days leading up to the start of school, schedules and information will be sent to students and the parents of students. For the first day [tba], students will go to their listed classes for an introduction to the teacher and the course. [tba] is the first day of full classes. Students should bring basic supplies of pens, pencils, and a notebook for the first day of classes. Detailed lists of supplies will be distributed by teachers during the introductory day.
It is very important for all students to attend the introductory day. Please be aware that the school will not accommodate timetable changes to allow students to attend classes with friends or with a specific teacher. Study blocks may only be requested by students in Grade 12.
If you have unanswered questions after reading this newsletter, please contact our main reception here. You can reach me here if your question is urgent. Please take note of the bell schedule for the coming year.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer. We are looking forward to a great school year and are excited to welcome both new and returning students and families to SPVIII.
