Appearance:
Achilles is a rather handsome man. He has his deep brown hair cut relatively short, though still long enough where he has to wet it down in the morning if he doesn't want spikes. Achilles has dark green eyes that seem to suck you in. When he's angry these eyes reflect only the most pure form of hatred. When Achilles is happy these eyes show you the immense joy a child has on Christmas day. These features seem to well blend into his sunkissed skin.
Achilles is a somewhat muscular individual. He has evidence of working out, shown by his six pack, which is moderately noticeable, and the lines shown on his arm indicating where his muscle is at all times. This helps to give Achilles an astonishing, yet intimidating look. Achilles stands 5'9 inches tall, which tall for his age range, but only by an inch or so. Achilles also weighs about 160 pounds. Though he didn't have the healthiest eating habits before everything spiralled out of control, he can't eat too much now. So in order to keep his muscle he must work out.
Personality:
Achilles is the kind of guy who'd you might expect to be a "cool kid." And he was. He was a social butterfly and everyone looked up to him. Well, all the kids who weren't compelled by school. Achilles liked the feeling of having friends and being in power, so he would constantly get himself into the most stupid of situations to make his friends laugh. Achilles would annoy teachers, telling them they weren't the boss of him, he'd get in fights with other students he found annoying and win, because of his muscle mass and size. Achilles did refrain from swearing and doing drugs though, for he had a soft spot for his mother.
Achilles kept something a secret from his "friends" though. Although Achilles seemingly failed school-wise, he could not be more interested in it and compelled to learn! He can be found on his computer when he is at home trying to find online tests and study help, because he loves the feeling of soaking in information. Granted, he is not too good at it, but he could not resists the feeling. Really all Achilles wants is to be loved and appreciated by everyone, but given his reputation in school he really can't be. He also feels that he cannot change, even though he full well can.
The above stems from his compulsive instincts. He does things on a whim or not even thinking about it. This does help when he's in fights, but in almost every other form of decision making this puts him at a large disadvantage. He often finds himself making the wrong decision because he doesn't take the time to look at all of his options and review each one's pros and cons. He just goes for whatever comes to mind first. That form of thinking definitely has and definitely will cause lots of problems in this world.
History:
Achilles has a bit of a confusing history. His family was rich, so they could afford many things. And since Achilles was the only child of his family he was spoiled rotten and treated like a child. This is what causes him to act so irresponsibly in current circumstances. His parents were very nice people though. He had his father, who worked as a lawyer, and his mother, who worked as a doctor. Those two professions also called for Achilles's parents' near full attention, leaving Achilles without parental guidance. He did have a nanny, but she was more of a caretaker than a role model. Achilles had no pets, as you may have imagined, for he did not like animals. He loved baby animals but couldn't stand living with anything older than one year old.
Achilles's family's riches come from farther back in his family tree. The family had actually been very poor until one day Achilles's great great grandmother was bestowed upon the wealth of everyone in her family. She was the only one left in her entire family. This puzzled her, and frankly, frightened her. How could everyone she knew, cared, and loved for have died just like that? So she did some research and went around to the towns where she knew her family to live last at and it turns out that they were all murdered. Nobody could tell her who murdered them. But she knew it was one person or a group of people who murdered them all. So she laid low, pretending she was just a poor woman who lived in a shack. Achilles's great great grandmother then married and had a single child. This child would go on to receive his mother's wealth and continue on the family until it came to Achilles. But so it turns out, that Achilles's great great grandmother had murdered one of the men on a hit team that was out to kill her family. When Achilles's great great grandmother found out about this, she had promptly given the baby to a family unbeknown to anyone but her. She was then promptly murdered and her wealth went to her child. The hit team could never find the child, and so they passed, never full filling in their mission. It is believed that they did this to take revenge on one of the men in Achilles's family for stealing from them.
When he was young, Achilles had no clue what was to happen to him. Him and his family stayed locked away in their large house and lived off of their fortune. But eventually, a man came by. Achilles's family had no idea he was there until he had successfully managed to bash open the door and they all storm in. Achilles's father protected his mother and him, but was soon lost to the ring of a gun. Achilles and his mother promptly jumped out the window to save themselves. But they found that this was no more safe. Achilles's mother, with a broken ankle now, had to try to outrun the man with Achilles. She did not and was soon taken along with her husband. Achilles was the only one in his household that managed to escape and he stays in a penthouse suite with the riches his parents left behind. For a reason unknown to him, he continues to go on with his life, waiting for someone to come along and make things better for him.
Achilles has never really understood why so much death and murder has haunted his family. This has caused him to be a frequent visitor to the psychiatrist. He has survivor's guilt and he can barely live with it unless he is in the company of his friends. Achilles is definitely depressed sometimes, but he knows that if he ever committed suicide his parents would've died in vain. He has to live on and make his parents proud and he knows that. He refrains from his former childhood troublemaking as much as he can, but it's part of his personality, so he can't avoid it completely. All he wants is to be the best person he can be, and he sometimes mistakes that for trying to be perfect.
