>Appearance<

A large hand falls into the glass jar. Thick fingers curl, taking up the thick paste that lay inside. Carefully, like a sculptor working with fresh, wet clay, he brings the paste to his hair. He twists and flips it, until his creation was nothing less than perfect. A wave, curling up from his broad forehead, curving inward upon itself. His hairline snakes it's way down a masculine face, ending just before his rather prominent ears.

A face, seeming to be the epitome of teenage innocence adorns a square jawline. Eyes, set like small ovals lay just beneath his flat brow. Beside the pure alabaster that makes up most of his eye lay a circle of dark chocolate. Almost blending in with the small dark whole in the very center. A round, feminine nose traces a path down his face, setting a perfect pallet for the cheekbones that high on full cheeks. It ends just before his lips, pink as a spring rose, creating sharp angles at the corners of his mouth and the bottom of his lip.

Gentle fingers touch the drying hair, now stiff as death atop his head. The single light bulb that hangs from the ceiling of the tiny bathroom creates a dingy glow around the cream colored tile. His athletic fame looms menacingly over the single vanity tucked away in the corner. Ironic He muses he continues to examine himself in the reflective glass How easily one word can describe a person. Vanity.

Hands trace the muscles that flex in his arms. Feet stick to the tile as he turns around, his head swivels watching the muscles flex in his core. A smile traces his lips as he watches so so carefully sculpted body move and tighten beneath ivory skin. White teeth peek from under his lips, startlingly white after years of meticulous care.

After the clock's hand has spun full circle nearly 20 times, the man has finished his admiration. The brass knob seems comically tiny in his hand as he opens the door that leads out of the fragrant room. Down a carpeted hallway he goes, arms crossed against a bare chest. It elongates in front of him as he rushes to the door adjacent to him. The cold of winters nips at his bare flesh .

After far too long, he reaches the maroon painted door. Throwing it open, giving no regard to the loud crash that echoed through the house, he rushes into the barren room. He kneels down , pulling open a drawer which creaks and jolts forward, he grabs a blue shirt which dips down deeply in the collar. He pulls it carefully over his head so as to not mess up the perfection his hair had been made into. It hugs his chest tightly falling loosely around his waist.

A tattered pair of black shorts soon hug his waist. White socks lay high on his ankles as he laces black string through his shoes. Pulling on a jacket, his feet send loud vibrations as he rushes down a metal staircase.
Only one word crosses his mind as he makes his way out into the winter sun.
Vanity.

>Personality<
Empty, that is what best describes Agate's mind. Some go as far to doubt a single logical thought has ever crossed his mind. This may in fact be credible as everything he does is based off of instinct. What he says, feels, even thinks comes from his heart instead of his mind. Perhaps this is the cause for his failing grades. Though, more realistically, it's his constant neglect for school work. Intelligence was never something of value when he was raised, so there was no need to expand his knowledge past the alphabet.

As much as his intelligence lacks luster, snide remarks are his specialty. He enjoys comedy, especially when it is at the expense of others. Judgmental and crude, if you do not fit his quota of what is acceptable he will let you know. A large ego with a mouth to match, he loves to be the center of attention. Especially in something as juicy as a scandal. As often as he uses his fists as a weapon, his words can cut an even deeper wound.

She's a whore.
One of his favorite words. A word to describe all women that cross his path. Whether is be his whore, her whore or a whore it's one of the few words contained in his vocabulary.

Fear.
One of the best weapons. Kindness is weakness. Something completely foreign to Agate. Never treated with anything but apathy as he grew older fear was the only emotion that came naturally to him. Spending his younger years in constantly plagued by the sin, he learned how to twist this and use it against others.

Vanity.
The final of Agate's crimes against humanity. As there is no one in this world that admires Agate more than he. No faults exist in his mind, everything about him is absolutely perfect. Often entranced by his appearance, Agate has been known to spend long hours gazing into the mirror. Make sure he was always presentable. Which he always is. In his opinion.

Though, Agate refuses to accept the slight nagging in the back of his mind. All the things that made him perfect could also be the things that made him less than. His arrogance, his own absorption in his appearance, while easily shed in a positive light by himself, could someone possibly dislike him?

Of course not. Who in their right mind, could think that.

>History<
Childhood:
Small feet tare across the wooden floor. Agate was on the hunt, ready to attack whatever crossed his path. It didn't matter who it happened to be. Agate would attack anything that moved, a brother, a sister, even a parent's leg. His predatory tendencies have stuck with him since his infancy. Perhaps his favorite target was his twin brother, always so much different than him. He strongly dislikes anyone of that sort, as they are far less than the perfection that he expects.

It was one day, after several years, that their family fell to hardship. Money was scarce, with everyone taking residence in his house. Many hushed conversations took place behind their parents door that week. No matter how hard agate attempted to hear what the strained voices, he never understood what they were saying until the day it happened.

We had to choose. They insisted We want you both to have the best life possible, we can't give you this.

And his brother was sent away, just like that. And to this day, Agate has never laid eyes on him again. Whether his heart still beats as strong as the day he left, Agate doesn't know nor care. What fate befell him the day he left is of no concern to him. One less obstacle, annoyance, to deal with in his already busy life.

Adolescence:
Perhaps it was guilt. It's the only logical conclusion to why his parents abandoned him. While still present in the house, the day they sent his brother away they left as well. From that day forward, Agate was utterly and completely alone. Known to carry a grudge, resentment lights his veins like a fire. Blame for ruining the happy life he had was thrown on anyone but he. Jasper, His parents, even his sister who had done nothing took the fall for his suffering.

His parents said nothing of his existance that day forward. No caring was shown other than a cold dinner on a dirty counter after he returned home at some ungodly hour.

Soon after this he began running with the "wrong crowd". Poison began to enter his lungs in the form of thick, gray smoke. While his friends progressed to drinking, even shooting poison into their veins, the only thing that ever enticed Agate was the thin, white roll filled with smoke. It made his insides warm, despite the tightness in his chest. He loved the smell, the taste, the way it lingered on his clothes. It filled an empty void.

He won't become like his friends, he's better than them.

Agate was better than everyone.

Young Adulthood:
This stage in life had barely begun. Leaving his parents at the age of 18, Agate's life has nothing but spiraled. He lives on his own, barely making enough to pay rent. His choices are nothing less of naive. Unprepared and far too self absorbed to focus on his future, Agate has begun a slow decline.

Yet, his pride keeps him from seeing this, as it does many other things. Fully capable of taking care of myself.

I am perfect.
