It is a dark time for District One. Two Career Academies -- both well-respected, both as old as Panem itself -- are caught in a violent territory feud. Rushing to swell their ranks, the two Orders clash in violent conflict, even outside of training. Innocents who get too involved, as well as those Careers too weak to pass muster, often find themselves suffering grievous wounds, if not worse.
The Sith Order, founded on aggression and ruthless cunning, have pushed the enemy Jedi into hiding after razing their training center to the ground. Led by the nefarious Palpatine, they have issued an ultimatum: all remaining Jedi must defect to their cause, or else face extermination.
Wayward Jedi Anakin Skystep finds himself caught in this crossfire. Tired of being forced into the shadows by the pacifistic Jedi Code, he gathers a group of like minds to fight back against the Sith's encroaching tyranny. But burdened by his forbidden relationship with a government intern and by his concern for his brother Luke, the talented young leader does not realize just how closely he himself strays to the Dark Side...
Welcome, all! Do you like Star Wars? Do you want to fight with fiery swords and call them lightsabers? Do you want to recreate the Star Wars universe within the confines of Panem?
Then you have come to the right place!
I've envisioned a long, character-driven plot with familiar names and faces from every point in the Star Wars universe. They need not be reaping age -- in fact, they need not be in District One, if we wanted to expand the plot to other areas. This does mean we'll have to modify some canon relationships: for instance, Luke is Anakin's 12-year-old brother instead of his son. We can make just about anything work if we try hard enough.
Feel free to submit original characters or canons that are not listed below. There will be some discretion when I'm accepting who gets into the plot, but if you're intermediate and up, you'll be just fine. One thing I do ask is that you age these characters whenever the "episode" of the plot reaches a satisfactory conclusion. One of the trademarks of Star Wars is the massive amount of time it spans, and I feel like the impact of that would be lessened if our characters never got older. If you really have an issue with this, feel free to speak with me, however.
It's important to note that, due to the nature of the characters involved, this plot will not follow the movie storylines. They will be entirely written by us. Luke becomes a Sith? Go for it. Leia's a

Description: He's not sure what he believes in. Luke wants to believe in what Anakin believes in. After all, he's Anakin's younger brother, isn't he? And so he should show pride and loyalty to him. As family. Family is important. Luke puts on a show. The younger brother of Anakin Skystep, training to take his place when Anakin has to step down. Powerful. Strong. (Overshadowed. Second.) He's anything but, thoughts wavering to what it must be like in the Sith Academy. Looking at his brother and Padme together, wondering, why can't they be together? Lies down at night and thinks, What would Ani say if I left?

Description: Obi Wan's older cousin. Despite the friction between her and the Jedi Council caused by her unconventional methods and her flagrant disregard for the rules when they do not suit her (she has no qualms about flouting their orders in order to do what she thinks is right) Cai is regarded as an influential and sharp-witted Jedi. Compared to most Jedi, she is more open with her feelings, oftentimes to her cousin's chagrin. She may be a bit of a maverick where the Jedi Order is concerned, but she is fiercely loyal and her heart is in the right place.

Description: Independent and passionate about helping others, though very gentle most of the time. She was born rich, her father is a merchant and her mother is the daughter of a government official. They are vocal of their support for the Jedi. She is an intern for the government of the district. She hopes to use this position to climb to a true government office and help the less fortunate people of District One. Secretly, she is Anakin's girlfriend, which is not allowed by the Jedi Code.

Description: Maul was rebellious from the start. His parents were the strict type, and he didn't want to be like them. He joined the Sith Academy just to disobey them. He uses the traditional Sith title of Darth, and studies as Palpatine's apprentice.
