Life won't last forever when placed in the hands of those who don't even know me. Everyone is enemies here, and nothing will ever change that, but it would be nice to be able to spend time alone without anyone ever looking at me- it would make this journey so much easier to take. Friends won't last forever hear seeing as in a few days everyone will be pinned against each other fighting for their own victory of surviving the games. Weapons will be slamming against weapons as the screams of the dying fill the air before the never ending cannons ring out signifying the death of the fallen. It's my life ambition to fight in the games to allow people the opportunity to kill me before striking me dead sending my body crashing down to the ground, dead and cold. It's the dream that fills my mind every second my eyes are closed. The fear of death is too real.
A journey that wasn't mine to take, yet it's what was needed to be done. My family needs to know I'm capable of fighting despite being a mess up. Every mistake is my wrong doing, and it makes me angry knowing my hands were nowhere near the accident. All my parents wanted was Muscinda- she's the perfect twin until she killed herself. It'll never fall upon my ears the reason she walked away so many years ago as my feet stayed glued to the ground screaming her name at the top of my lungs, but she never looked back. Her goal was to fight in the games, to become a victor, but she ended herself before her chance was even given. She was the screw up- not me- her. She ended her life, and here I am fighting for her because nobody cares about me; it's quite obvious my death will happen soon no matter how hard my hands fight against the weapons of those surrounding me. It'll be me against them.
Tonight, I journeyed to the roof away from everyone to get a little fresh air to calm the nerves about the impending death that's been placed before me. The wind blows gently through the air as the moon dances in the sky. Chants of the citizens below fill my ears- it's disgusting. My life may have been spent in the career academy training for the games, but witnessing the death of those dying in the games changed the moment my sister left. Stars dance high in the sky flashing brightly across the land- no lights would be needed to guide the way. Some stars are brighter than many others. Some are dull running out of time before the light burns out forever. My life radiates like a star currently glowing bright, but in a few day, I could be one of those dull stars about to burn out as the light fades away from my body forever- my parents would cheer.
