Flemeth the Blood Dragon - (Fire Area) The idea struck a Capitol inventor while reading a fairy tale to his children during the war. Dragons were both fierce and destructive. Why not use one against the rebels? Unfortunately, the construction of a single dragon was both costly and dangerous and the single dragon that they had made needed to be locked away in order to control it. Now, it’s back in the Games. Deadly in both its front and its back with a spiked tail, claws and fire-breathing, the dragon can attack three tributes at once using its various assets.
50 HP. Not edible. Not poisonous.
Digitamole - (Air Area, Earth Area, Cornucopia) As a means to rid roots of undesirable plants (like rebel food supply), the Rootnibblers would dig underground and basically eat any root - along with their invertebrate diet. The special Rootnibblers are given the name 'Digitamoles'. In the Hunger Games, they are modified, developing an 'acquired' taste for human toes. While hardly bigger than a beagle dog, they have extremely strong upper limbs, breaking through the earth and grabbing by the legs. Giving a thorough licking with long tongues, the dark-brown moles taste the shoe or toes, and their sharp teeth pierce any armor and munch off digits. They will take as many as they can, blinking beady eyes and blood smearing on their long snouts. They hardly look different from a normal mole, minus the detail of a white triangle on the back. They are mostly-blind creatures.
10 HP. No food classification. Not poisonous.
Giant Mole - (Earth, Water, Air Area) The Giant Mole resembles a giant mole with a sharp claws and a large, fanning nose. About the size of a small elephant, they were created to sniff out rebels in their encampments (once coming across a scent, they can track it easily and swiftly). They have long, swift tongues lubricated with poison-containing saliva which temporarily stuns whomever they attack. For the Games, they’ve been made to be attracted to the scent of fresh blood…
20 HP. No food classification. Not poisonous, but can stun with its tongue every other attack, leaving a tribute unable to attack for one move.
Appa - (Air, Fire Area, Cornucopia) The Appa was originally engineered as a source of entertainment for Capitol children, with its cocktail of bison and hawk DNA creating the possibility for something of a glorified flying pony ride. However, the Appa’s stint in the entertainment industry didn’t go too well. After a significant drop in interest and one too many irritated parents who had been hit in the head with flying poopie, the Appa were retired. However, this year’s Gamemaker’s saw potential in these mutts, and tweaked their genetic code, making them more aggressive and upping the hawk DNA enough to give them sharp talons. This way, the Appa can attack two ways: With a swooping, blunt rush attack, or with its sharp claws.
40 HP. Edible. Not poisonous. Attacks with one blunt roll and one knife roll per post.
Pygmy Cattle – (Air, Earth Area) One crazy Capitol scientist was working on a project attempting to develop cows that produced lactose-free milk, frustrated by his own lactose intolerance. On the front of it, his work seemed like a complete failure: the resulting cows produced no milk whatsoever, and, to top it off, were roughly the size of a house cat. However, the meat they produced was not only delicious, but the Pygmy Cattle were easier to keep in smaller spaces and produced much less in terms of byproducts. Unlike their giant counterparts, the miniature cows, however, are very skittish and actually burrow, much like rabbits. (Must have completed Trapping station to capture.)
12 hp. Classified as Small Game. Not poisonous.
Latch Crabs – (Water Area) Roughly a foot in diameter, this blend of king crab and spider has nearly indestructible armour and nearly indestructible silk. The thick, cord-like thread woven by Latch Crabs is like human hair in that virtually the only way to truly destroy it is by fire. This durable, flexible thread cannot be cut by any tool found in the arena, and actually acts as something of a fuse to the inevitable bomb that the Latch Crab is, given the high potassium nitrate content of its shell. The Latch Crabs are quite good at their designed job: latching on to a person and not letting go. Latch Crabs will exercise their iron grip on a person, gripping tightly so they can't be removed, and spinning an amount of silk--usually 30 to 50 yards--before they stop, trapping the person to the circumference of the circle that originates at a stationary object--typically a large rock. Latch Crabs cannot be fought nor pulled off. A favorite target of theirs is around the Achilles' tendon.
N/A hp. No food classification. Not poisonous.
Mormo – (All Areas) A small, wraith-like flying cat that wears a cloak of mist. This mutt was originally developed as a pet for a wealthy Capitol resident, before it became much too creepy for her to handle. After turning the mutt over to the Gamemakers, they made a few tweaks, including adding a vein of poison to its kitty claws. This is a quiet mutt, nearly silent in its attacks, except for the occasional hiss.
8 hp. Edible. Poisonous. Classified as small game.
Kodama — (Everywhere) If one did not know better, they would think the Kodoma a ghost. The creature moves in absolute silence, with a body that looks somewhat similar to a human's in that it stands upright and have two arms and two legs. The similarities stop there, though, for this particular mutt has a wide, round abdomen, no fingers or toes, and an oval head with two dark eyes and an equally dark mouth, so that the three features can barely be distinguished from each other. The rest of its body is opalescent, smooth, and free of even the slightest feature, and it's tiny, maybe a foot and a half tall at most. The Kodama are generally a puzzling creature. Unlike most mutts, they were created to cheer up people in the Capitol who were old, sick, or depressed, meant to be a kind of therapy. Their behavior didn't exactly go as planned, though - the creatures would often just stand there, making an occasional call that sounded high pitched and distant. They amused patients, however, and were therefor kept. In the Arena, they have been known to be actually helpful. They travel in packs and often do little more than watch tributes with their wide eyes and bring them food. Still, their presence has been known to be greatly calming to many, even the unlucky teenagers slated for almost certain death.
N/A HP. No food classification. Not poisonous.

Boar Q-Pine - (Fire Area) The Boar Q-Pine is a monstrous creature. It is a cross between a boar and a porcupine. The beast has a boar’s body with a bunch of needles as a coat. Its needles bristle when enraged or when it feels cornered or scared. Originally intended to be a means of intimidation during interrogation by the Capitol, the mutt’s quick anger, often causing it to charge and trample all those in its path, made it an unstable creation and it was sent to the Arena.
20 hp. Edible. Classified as large game.

Platypus Bear- (Air Area, Earth Area, Cornucopia) The Platypus Bear was originally created to entertain Capitol guests at parties however it proved to be to temperamental to be safe for party use- so was put forward to the Game Makers as the next up and coming mutt. When standing on its back leg, the Platypus Bear can be up to almost 9 feet in height, with large clawed paws and a platypus tails that it uses to knock prey (and tributes) over. Its beak is filled with sharp, razor-like teeth. They are usually very territorial and with attack if you wander into their territory.
18 hp. Not edible.

Clingray - (Water Area) Created to be exotic pets for Capitol residents, the Clingray is basically a miniature stingray, with a multitude of bright and exotic colors thrown in when it was made by the Capitol. However, almost immediately problems were found when the miniature creatures proved to breed a lot faster than expected. Initially ignoring the issue, the Capitol was forced to recall the creatures when reports of the mini stingrays attaching themselves to their owners and repeatedly stinging them came in in high numbers. With nothing to do with the animals, Capitol scientists instead chose to release them into the Arenas along with the tributes. Clingrays do not stay in packs or nests, but they do stay near the shore of the beach.
12 hp. Poisonous but will not cause death, but will only debilitate the tribute, making them unable to flee for the day. Edible, but first must be cooked.
