Appearance

Max is slim with a subtle amount of muscular definition, though it is more aesthetically pleasing than anything else. His shoulders are averagely broad whilst his height makes him slightly tall at the height of 5"11. His skin is quite a light tone, as he is Caucasian. His hair is a light brown, not typical of the Orca family showing his distance from the center of the family itself. His hair is quite thick though he keeps it maintained at a low length that is generally shorter on the sides with a quiff that is short but flows upward which makes his hair seem quite square looking and suiting to that of his face shape, which is long but soft looking, with features that don't stand out much except for his nose which is quite long. His eyes are of a blue colour, again not typical of the Orca family whom usually have brown or green eyes.

His dress sense is quite sophisticated. Due to his age, he has a lot of responsibility to uphold now that he has past the reaping age. Because of this, he seems to have taken a more adult-like sense of clothing with more smart clothes like dress pants and rolled-up long-sleeved tops or jumpers or even suit jackets or coats. This kind of look has likely came from his parents, who work in District Two's own branches of work - mining. Yet his parents do not work within the mines, they help organize them and ensure everything is going to plan. This is not what the Capitol would call a manager, but more of a supervisor role. His dress sense is amplified by the fact his parents, and family is quite rich, able to avoid having to directly work sometimes however they do so in order to ensure their wealth isn't disturbed.

Personality

Max is his own person more so than many others. He likes to be different and enjoys being himself more than anything. His parents aren't very controlling yet his upbringing has been quite lax and carefree. This has lead him to be a little careless himself though he picked it up by seeing role models around him like his uncle, Francis, who was a Peacekeeper for twenty years before settling down. Due to his role models, he has spurred himself on to be more organized and has made such attempts at many corners in his life.

His humor is quite harsh in that he likes to see a difference between him and others. He likes to contrast himself with the faults in others. His type-A personality has led him to be competitive and to achieve more than others for the thrill of winning rather than the joy of success. Success isn't something he revels in, but something he is naturally aiming for anyway. If he is going to commit to something, although carefree, he will commit to it and likely succeed due to his personality.

With friends, he likes to relax and unwind. He doesn't like serious conversation or things that require too much thought because he likes to assume the role of somebody who doesn't need to be relied on, despite the amount of responsibility he has been given. His larger family (The Orca Family) is different in that it produces top standard peacekeepers and careers. He is different because he doesn't want either of those things. He wants to have enough money to buy what he wants, but he doesn't want to be like the Capitolites. He wants to be the best he can be the simplest way he can get it.

History

Born in District Two to loving parents, as usual. His upbringing was lax and without much stress. His childhood was filled with the typical standard - Scared of the Games, scared of careers, nearly cried every time there was a reaping. It eased by time he was fourteen, because a lot of his cousins were going to the reapings as well. This made him seem a bit better, or higher up than them. It made him take a big brother position to his cousins but he rarely made the effort to talk to them much besides family meetings which were always monthly. When he hit upper school in the District, he took to the clique that rebelled a lot and didn't enjoy the classes and tried to skip classes. This was highly difficult due to the heavy restrictions and legal requirements to attend school, but they kept doing it.

After receiving many official warnings from the District Mayor's assistants, threatening punishment, his parents decided to stop him from behaving like a fool and became more strict. This was funny to Max at first, but he began to ease into a more responsible position as he turned sixteen. His first job was following his father around in his supervising role in the mines. Except they didn't go down the mines, only remaining above. Their job had many requirements but the main one was to ensure the same amount went in that came up and such similar things. Because of this, his observation skills and maths are boosted higher than most (though not only because of the job - he was good at such in school as well).

Now, he is nineteen and has been allocated his own house. This change in lifestyle has led him to be entirely self-reliant and he has begun to be more independent. His life continues as usual, work, sleep and repeat. But his laxity is increasing as his own money banks are beginning to pool. Soon, he may even be able to drop the job - but maybe he will find somebody special and continue the Orca line. Anything is possible with Max.
