even in darkness . there is light
Somehow, the day grew sullen. It was rather amazing to her, how the day could seem so bright, yet everything around her crumbled into this sense of nothingness. So she lived another day, though she couldn't tell if it was a blessing or a curse. The way she was right now was perhaps not the most emotionally stable human being in the districts. Blythe could admit, she'd been through a lot. On the inside, she was a war. However, on the exterior she just looked like a lonely District 4 teenager trying to find something to do. Oh how wrong that assumption was.
Blythe wore her hair somewhat normal today. She was known for her flawless, dark colored hair. She never had issues with it. Not a fly away or split end could be found. The darkness of it matched her rather pale skin. Blythe tended to stay away from the sunlight, never really caring much for a tan like some of the others did. To her, it seemed rather pointless to lay out in the sun all day and wait for it to bless you with sun-kissed features. Actually, she really didn't come out as much in the daytime anymore. The light was too harsh and wild for her. The moon and the stars were much more soothing.
She walked down a path, the sun taking its dive down into the horizon. Her eyes didn't watch the sunset though. While the pinks and violets were pretty to most, it grew old for Blythe. Things always got old. Perhaps she was being a "Debbie Downer", yet she couldn't really care what others thought about her. Social interactions with other kids her age was a rarity. Others envied her pretty features and edgy look, though they stayed away because that's all they knew how to be around her. Whenever they tried to approach, she'd shrug them off with her nonchalant manner. She was never impolite to them, rather a little stuck up at times. To others, maybe they thought that she considered herself "too good for them". That wasn't the case at all. Blythe just... had a disliking towards people.
