Overcast clouds cover the blue sky shining gray giving the chance of snow or rain at any possible second. The few trees around the area trapped under the weight of death as the winter destroyed the leaves leaving the trees to fall into a deep slumber. My eyes gaze across the room before flying through the window. Being trapped inside since the winter months have began has destroyed the imagination built inside the dark abyss in my head. No planning for destroying someone's pride has been done. It's horrible living here with my aunt, my uncle, and my cousins. I'm grateful they gave me a roof over my head when my parents left, but it was only a last resort. I lived on the streets, with Hylla, for a year before we needed the shelter. I know how to survive in the coldest, harshest conditions. My hands slide under the window raising it into the sky allowing the cool air to fill my room. A large smile plasters against my face. It's the happiest I've been in a long time. "Hylla, I'm going out. I'll be back later."

A jacket drapes over my shoulders as my feet fly through the window landing gracefully on the ground. My feet carry me from the tiny house through the back alley's as the cloud grow larger and larger in the sky. When I was younger, I would lay on the ground with my dad checking out the colors of the clouds picturing what each cloud would look like. Some looked like dogs, and others were in shapes I've never seen or hear of. With a crack of the neck, the thoughts fly away from my mind. I don't want to remember them since he was a bastard that left me behind. My parents ran away from us when we needed them the most leaving me, a mere teenage boy, to raise my sister. Every day I fought for our survival, and it always seemed good enough as we lived past the times most people excepted. Food was stolen from the richest people living in the district, scraps were scavenged from the trash people dropped outside, yet it was always enough to survive. If we didn't have enough food for the both of us, my food went towards Hylla.

My feet move for what seems like ever. I only stop when I'm standing near a park. My eyes scan the area wondering how long I have been walking. My head shakes as a voice speaks through the distance. "Good day." My eyes glare towards the direction where the voice came from, and land upon a girl standing in front of me. My first instinct is to be rude and ignore her, but then a grin grows on my face. "Uh, hi." My voice quiet, laced with an icy chill. "It's such a wonderful day." Perhaps she'll catch the sarcasm spewing from inside because it's a horrible day.[/presto]
