Dark eyes watched the sky as the moon slowly began to rise. The stars sparkled faintly in the darkness, barely seen through the lights and glitter of the Capitol sky. Evening was upon the world, and the nighttime would be chasing it down. A mischievous smile hovered at the corners of his lips. Turning his head, the male glanced around himself, taking in the fact that his little stone perch where he lay was finally starting to grow cold.
And besides. His target should be leaving, finally.
Theodore's arms fell from his chest, the leather jacket he wore squeaking slightly, to rest against the concrete. Pushing upwards, he sat up and took in a deep breath, his eyes closed for a moment. Opening the dark orbs again, he looked around, listening. The little shop that he had been targeting was finally silent and dark. An excitement filled him, knowing what would be coming next. Theft~ Something he had grown very adept at. Who needed one of those high class prissy high maintenance jobs where you had to deal with annoying Capitolites everyday, when you could just steal their valuables?
Even the Capitol wasn't free of criminals. Not that Teddy had ever been caught. Yet.
Hopping from his little platform, Theodore kept his head down, hands stuffed into his pockets, and walked with a quick pace down the alleyway towards the little shop. Slipping into the crowded streets of the evening time as everyone got off of work, he made himself blend in, watching and making sure that the shop owner had really left the place. Here, there weren't many shops that included apartments on the top floor, and this one was no exception. He knew that once she was gone, she was gone.
She was definitely gone.
Moving silently, he carefully manuvered his way to the small alleyway behind the building, keeping his head cocked to the side to listen for anyone following him. Seeing and hearing nothing, he scooted to the backdoor, grabbing the knob in his hand and falling down to his knees, pulling out a small toolset. Beginning to tinker with the lock, Teddy paused every once in a while to listen for anyone. He grinned when he heard a small click, turning the doorknob and letting himself inside.
Closing the door behind him, he let out a small chuckle. Shaking his head, he mumbled aloud, “This is too easy sometimes...”
Taking in a deep, triumphant breath, Theodore began exploring the shop, digging through things and pocketing what he thought would be valuable. His attention and wariness had dropped nearly completely now that he was inside, confidence filling him completely. What kind of shop owner would come back at night for something? No one wanted to come back to work after quitting time.
