Wow. Yet another boring day at the career center. Every dumb day is exactly the same. Normally Jade would go directly to the knives throwing area and then axes then swords and so on. Today she felt like doing something different. Instead of walking over to the knives she went over and picked up a bow. She hadn't practiced using a bow in a while. Her fingers ran over a long, sharp arrow and lifted it up weighing it in her hand. She carefully took aim with her bow and hit in the target but not on the bullseye. Dammit. She thought. She carefully took aim again and fired, letting the arrow loose. It whizzed through the air and hit right next to the bullseye eye AGAIN, infuriating Jade. "Stupid bow." She cursed under breath. She aimed again and let the arrow fly. This time she sighed at a satisfying clunk as the arrow hit the dummy. It was FINALLY in the bullseye.
Jade carefully set the bow back down. In the Hunger Games she would have to do much better than that or she would die. For now though she walked over to her signature area which she loved to do, knife throwing. She took a sharp knife and walked over to in front of a dummy. She took aim and hurled the knife at the dummy and there was a satisfying clunk as the knife sunk deep into the dummy's torso. She brushed her silvery blond hair out of her face and looked around yet again to see if anyone she knew was there.
