Name: Rye Moon
Age: 16
Gender: Female
District: 11
Appearance: Rue Moon (my character) has brown eyes and dark hair, like the other people in district 11. She is tall, more so than the other girls, and skinny. Rye has a sweet smile on her face, most of the time. Rye's dark hair is long, shoulder length, and is sometimes in a ponytail. She has bangs that do not cover her face, and in a ponytail, she has a bang on the right side.
Rye is not very muscular. She weighs 115 pounds, and is 6" 3. Rye does not care what she wears, and since she lives in District 11, she has to wear light clothing, which, for her, usually consists of a t-shirt and a pair of shorts or kakhis. When working, she adds a sun hat to the mix to protect her from the sun. Rye does not have many flaws, but her flaws are swimming, hunting for game,(though she is great at hunting for plants) and fighting. She can only throw knives and use a bow, but not as good as the famous Katniss Everdeen.
Personality: Now, when you think of Rye, you think of Rue, if you knew her. Rye is sweet and kind, and clever. She usually outsmarts her younger siblings during activities. Rye dreads the Hunger Games because one of her siblings did not make it out alive. It hurts her to this day, so now she just has her two brothers. It was her sister that went in.
Rye does not like watching the games, either. Whenever the Games are televised, she comforts her two little brothers, like a younger sister should. Rye likes working, because it takes her mind off things, like the Games. Rye has a secret fear, and it has nothing to do with the Games. She is afraid of death. Deaths of people she loves.
Rye is scared of death because of what happened. Death befound her sister, father, and unborn brother. death has haunted her for her whole life. Yet she is not afraid of the Games. Because she does not know them. The tributes. That scares her. She thinks that she is heartless when she thinks that. Heartless is not part of Rye's personality. Rye tries not to be heartless, but as kind as she can be.
History: Rye's father died when she was 10. He died by the gun of a peacekeeper. All he had done was show one, simple, seemingly unnoticeable act of rebellion. Rye and her family saw it all. It left then all heartbroken, and they stopped caring. Rye's father was like their lifeline. He cared for all. Even his foes.
Rye's father's death was like they all died. Food was not prepared, nor ate. Their ribs became prominent, their stomachs growled tirelessly, and their health dipped down. down low. But Rye brought them back. She helped them fight grief. They won. After that, their father was never mentioned. But Rye's mother still carried around his picture everyday.
Rye loved her school. She never was naughty, nor disrespectful. Her school days were quick, she enjoyed them greatly. Rye's mother helped Rye get through her school work, when most of the time she did not need help. Rye is a very smart girl, though sometimes teased because of her liking of school.
