It's nice to have the help from Tyren as I get my bags and Gala's bags into the car as well. He organizes it so well. He definately knows where to put the bags in order to give ample room for other things for the camping trip. I give him an appriciative smile then turn to Matthew as we all get into the car and I ask Matthew the quaint question about how they got him to go camping. It's not that I didn't think he would, but how he was able to be convinced to go with all of us, namely Max, whom I remember hit him that one night at the party. Though, they seem to be alright. What happened with Jins... has that changed them? Working together or something. I hope so. Max is a dependable person. I know that much. I think Max's comment about being around me while being with Matthew is going to be challenged tonight. I don't let my question find my voice. I keep it instilled within me.
"They said you were coming." My presence is what made him come? That, makes me smile and lean into him just slightly as Gala sits beside me. I don't know how she's feel sitting beside Matthew, and I didn't want Matthew to have to deal with sitting in between two girls. Not to mention, his legs are a litte too long to sit in the middle, but myself? I'm fine with whatever. Giving Gala the good seat by the window is reward enough to see her smiling. It makes me feel good as well.
Matthew's hand reaches behind my back and he rubs gently. It's a nice feeling to have back. Having any kind of contact lately has been a little on the shy side. I think the events has effected me more than I thought though the kiss on the cheek is warm and I'm starting to get used to this again. When Matthew asks if everything is okay, I give a little shrug and a nod with a half grin. He turns to Gala and I can't help but watch for Gala's expression to him. It seems like so long ago that we were all three together. Let alone the first time when I nearly laid a knife into Gala's tiny body by mistake. That was nerve racking, but nothing like what we went through.
Sitting beside of Matthew and Gala, I allow myself the privaledge to lean again Matthew's shoulder and watch the road in front of us as Tyren begins the drive to Vy's house. I'd been there several times during their time when they were at the academy. I volunteered to watch Brooklyn for her in return that she keep a secret for me. How horrible keeping that secret was now. A warm hand finds my own, and we interlace fingers. I let my thumb rub against his skin.
"It's about a five to seven minute drive from here. Hit Herron street on the corner, go for about a mile then turn on stockton. Vy lives right on the outskirts of town. I'll let you know when we get closer where else to go." I tell Tyren and the car starts to pull out and we begin the travel to her house. It does start to cross my mind how we're all going to fit in the car. Not unless I sit on Matthew's lap and Brooklyn sit on Vy's. Perhaps, posing the question will be a bit troublesome. Probably best to wait till we get there to figure that bit of information out when we can. For now, I glance over to Gala.
"This is going to be fun, yeah? Ever been camping before?" I question her, then I look to the front at Max and Tyren.
"Thank you for the call Max. Tyren. I can't remember the last time I've ever went camping before. It's been so long. This is a nice treat. You know?" With a little bit of a memory, I nudge Matthew gently as if to say 'what happened out in the woods was not considered camping'. I hide the gentle grin on my face.
