Life’s a show and we all play a part
And when the music starts,
We open up our hearts
It’s all right if some things come out wrong.
We’ll sing a happy song
And you can sing along.
Where’s there’s life,
There’s hope.
Everyday’s
A gift.
Wishes can
Come true.
Whistle while
You work.
So hard
All day.
To be like other girls
To fit in in this glittering world.
Don’t give me songs.
Don’t give me songs.
Give me something to sing about.
I need something to sing about.
Life’s a song
You don’t get to rehearse.
And every single verse
Can make it that much worse.
Still my friends
Don’t know why I ignore
The million things or more
I should be dancing for.
All the joy
Life sends.
Family
And friends.
All the twists
And bends
Knowing that
It ends.

Long brown hair flows down a slender build. There is a girl smiling, showing her white, but not too straight, teeth. She laughs as she takes off the sunglasses which covered her dazzling green eyes. Her laugh is short and melodious. Her eyebrows narrow downwards in a way she thinks makes her look like an evil villain. "Come on!" She says to me happily in her loud, singsong voice, "I want to show you something cool!" We get to where the docks are and she points down.
Jellyfish are lighting up the sea bellow us. The jellyfish which hang out near the docks I mean. She loves to watch them and can be often seen watching them whenever she can, just sitting by the docks, or watching them through a fish tank her parents got her when she was little. She puts her slender leg over the dock pier and let's it hang loose over the water.
I know sense how pale she is. She isn't tan like most other girls from district four. Her parents rarely let her go outside due to her hemophilia. If she scratches herself even the smallest bit she bleeds and bleeds.

Sylvia wants to go to career training. Her parents reluctantly hold her from it due to her hemophilia. Sylvia hates herself because she blames herself for getting hemophilia. Despite knowing that it is genetic she still hates herself for having it. Her parents worry that she is going to get hurt but Sylvia doesn't worry at all. She doesn't care if she gets hurt because all she wants is to win the Hunger games like every other kid in district four. Sylvia doesn't like blood and Gore that much though, she was just raised so all she could think about was the Hunger Games.
Her parents on the other hand have different ideas for her which she hates. Since she is the oldest child her parents are searching for a suitable husband for her. Her parents host large parties which she resents. Unlike other girls who gossip on which boy looks the cutest, Sylvia doesn't like guys that much. She finds them disgusting. She hates the way how they look and act everything about them.
Despite that she hates boys, she puts on a good face for them when they are around and all the time. Despite what feelings she has she burries them deep down and is polite and kind to everyone. So polite sometimes people think she is just joking around and that she doesn't mean all the polite things she says and does, and often people can get the wrong impression from it. Sylvia is so polite because she honestly believes that her life was a show being aired everywhere and that everyone was actors. She often has small thoughts in her head that keep these suspicions alive. For example, sometimes she thinks a certain bush looks to real it can't be or that a certain line of Palm Trees are so straight they were arranged just for her.
Sylvia is very jealous of other girls her she doesn't have many friends because her parents rarely let her outside. When she is outside she doesn't get a lot of time to socialize.

Ever since Sylvia was 5 years old she had thought she was in a movie show. She had a dream that she saw a director and a cameraman following her and in the end of the dream she went to sleep and when she woke up she thought a whole day had past. Ever since then she had acted her whole life so she could, "Put on a show for the cameras." She thought to herself every day.
You might be wondering how she and her parents discovered that she had hemophilia. Sylvia's grandparents had it and her parents hoped she wouldn't have it. Unfortunately, when Sylvia was 3 years old she accidentally got a paper cut. She kept on bleeding and bleeding and it wouldn't stop. After 20 minutes her parents took her to the only hospital in district four to get tested. Her parents being wealthy, she actually got tested. When she got tested it turned out she did have hemophilia.
Sylvia grew up in comfort. She didn't have to go to school because she was homeschooled, but she never made any friends because she was mostly always stuck inside her house. Her parents got her everything she wanted except letting her go do career training. Sylvia badly wanted to be a career and her parents wouldn't let her because they were scared she would cut herself on accident.
So Sylvia grew up in comfort as her brothers and sisters were born, being sent to school and career training. She resented them because they could do what she couldn't, have a fun life.
