The first thing you'll notice about Torfin is that he’s genuinely pretty. Eyes that are the color of a tropical ocean stand out from his tanned skin. The straight nose, full lips and a gorgeous smile complete the picture. Straight white teeth mislead you to think he actually takes good care of himself. His lanky body is quite toned from working on one of the few boats that fish the wide rivers of the district. He's quite proud of his appearance, yet he doesn't really make an effort. It's simply the way it is. Good genes, maybe.
On the bridge of his nose a scar is the only flaw in his immaculate appearance aside from light brown hair that hardly ever sees a comb.

When it comes to his clothes you will see a whole different picture because what the young man wears is quite the opposite of his nice physique. Pants as well as shirts a worn out with holes and faded colors and shoes are missing all together but he likes it like that. Shoes are too confining and absolutely useless around the rivers when you dive in. The rough skin on the soles of his feet is all he needs in the warm summer months. Torfin doesn't even posses any good shoes. The only pair he cares to keep is for the colder moths of the year.
Clothing is something that's in your wardrobe but nothing that interests him. If you know where he comes from you'll understand because the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. All his old father wears are a few worn out T-shirts with holes at the seams, work pants that have seen better times and a hat for the sun.

Torfin looks like he could use a good steak every now and then.

His voice however is rather gentle, almost soothing once again giving a false impression.
He comes off as an artistic kind of person with his 'style' but as soon as he opens his mouth you know just how wrong that impression is as he's not particularily well educated or articulate.

Looks can be deceiving. That’s especially true for young Torfin. When you first see him you might think that he’s a gentle, caring person because he looks so nice. His character is quite the opposite though. Torfin doesn’t give a damn about peoples opinions. He treats them with little to no respect and isn’t the poet that he looks to be. On the contrary. He's rough. On top of that he isn’t the smartest tool in the shed and has his head full of stupid ideas. Goofing around, pulling practical jokes and sweet talking girls are very high on his daily ‘to-do list’.

Other than that he enjoys swimming in the river, sitting around the fire with friends and fighting for fun. Torfin is a simple kind of guy. He enjoys down to earth things and doesn't know what to do with all the gadgets and pleasantries rich people own hold no value to him. The only thing he cares to own is a roof over his head, maybe a bike to get around like the old off road one his dad has in the shed and a boat to go fishing.

He doesn’t really see himself as good at anything. Nobody ever instilled that kind of confidence in him. So he has no overall goal in life. Just hang out and have a good time, work a little and party a lot. That sounds like a great plan.

Torfin Forsberg was found on the doorstep of an old mans house when he was only a baby.
Why? Nobody know because nobody ever found out who his parents really are. Whether they are still out there, dead or alive remains a mystery.
Instead of handing the child over to the authorities the man, who found him and who had never had children of his own took him in and gave him a home. It was probably destiny that their paths crossed.
He didn’t necessarily raise him in the most child appropriate ways but with the help of friends managed to support the kid enough to get him through school providing a somewhat loving home. Unfortunately the old man wasn’t too smart either. He raise his surrogate son to the best of his abilities, thought him how to hunt, fish, shoot and spend lots of days with his friends at the old cabin on the creek where he used to live. It was a secluded live. A very simple one, where the best entertainment came from telling stories while sitting on the river with a fishing pole in your hand and some chew tobacco in the cheek.

Torfin has been brought up tough and down to earth very early on. In school teachers discovered that he has more talents but the boy never cared to explore them because Old man Forsberg didn’t want to hear anything about poetry or theatre.

Torfin, whose surrogate fathers roots were somewhere in the old land…people only know from tales nowadays…,thought him what he knew, which were mainly things that had to do with making a living of the land and river. Knots, spear fishing, reading the weather.

Well liked by his redneck buddies the now 17 year old has discovered his interest in girls a few years back. He doesn’t necessarily take them very serious though. There are enough kids in school, which he’s attending in his last year who truly dislike him because they see him as just another ‘pretty tool’. Who knows. Maybe they are right!
