Appearance
I was born into a very poor family within district 6 so naturally I have almost no nice things. This includes my clothes, I wear the same dirty and messily stitched up clothes everyday until I outgrow them and we have to scrounge around for some new ones. As of right now my outfit is a black hoody, grey short sleeved shirt, long grey sweatpants, and really beaten up white sneakers. Also needless to say due to my family's poverty I am usually covered in oil stains and dirt except for Saturday which is my designated day to bathe.
As for my actual physical features well lets start off simple. I have short black hair that I try to spike up in the front but due to the lack of hair products it normally falls down. My eyes are a very clear and intriguing grey coloration that always seems to lure people's attention. My skin is actually very pale almost albino but not quite, probably from my albino mother and quite tan father, what a mix up right? As for my height I am about five foot nine inches and away slightly underweight at about 120 pounds. As for muscle mass I have very little from moving heavy parts during work but other than that I don't really work out. However, some may state that I am actually handsome based on this description, but I'm not finished yet. I have a pretty gruesome scar across my entire face from a really bad burn caused by an incident at work. Other than that there is nothing really left about my appearance.

Personality
As for my personality I have been told a whole bunch of things. First off I have been told I am a very genuine and honest guy, which is correct. I don't see the point of lying to anyone even if something is really bad might as well tell them so you don't make it worse. I mean honesty is the best policy and for the most part if you are honest you can stay out of trouble with the Capitol. Luckily since I am honest and quite a stickler about following rules I have been able to stay out of trouble.
As for another one of my traits, well I am very determined about most things. For example, even though my family may be poor I keep working and saving in hopes one day my siblings will have a better life than poverty. Another example is in school when I choose to go instead of work since my family really needs my income money. As for school specifically I'm not the smartest person around so it is pretty hard for me but I don't let that slow me down instead it pushed me to become the best learner I can be.
Last of all I believe my biggest character trait is my bright minded thinking and kindness. Even though my life is hard and constantly a struggle I always manage to keep a positive look on life. I guess you could even call me a dreamer since I do believe one day I will have a better life with my family. As for my kindness it really extends to everyone I meet, even strangers. One time I saw a homeless girl starving so I have her half of my days earnings, even though it wasn't much I hope it helped her.

History
I was born to Mary and John Gastovile, a very poor couple in district six, however, they are a very loving couple that always wanted kids. So henceforth I was their first born, then followed my two younger brothers each three years apart, Quintin who is thirteen, and Elvis who is 11. Both my parents left me in charge often since they would have to work long shifts in the factories making train parts for the Capitol. So I grew very responsible and I also became very close to my brothers. They often looked at life very dimly since we were so poor but I always told them to keep their chins up that a better life will come, I just hope it is true.
I began school when I was six but right from the start I was slower than the rest of the kids. Then on top of that I was often bullied and harassed for the way I dressed and smelled because of my poverty. Yet, I didn't let the bring me down I just kept my head up and worked two times harder than before so I could keep up with the class. However, one day on the very first day of school for Quintin I saw some kids bullying him just as they did to me and I wouldn't let Quintin feel any worse. So I walked up to the kids and told them to step off when they didn't I began to yell at them but that only made them worse. I told Quintin to leave and when he did the kids grew very angry at me for interrupting them and physically beat me up. However, I didn't throw I single punch, just covered my face and let them wail me. What was the point in fighting a stupid fight I had helped my brother and that was what mattered.
Then when I turned fourteen I made the decision to quit school and to get a job building engines. My family was on the brink of starvation and we desperately needed the income so I stepped up to the plate. For the first few months it went by slowly and repetitively then one day about a year into the job as I was assembling an engine it had a minor explosion. Flames danced across my face and severely burnt me, the company got me instant help then gave me a huge bonus to help heal so it didn't scar. However, I ran straight home and told my parents to save most of the money and to let the burn scar since we needed the money. After much protest they allowed it and hence the reason I have the scar today. Now even today I am still working in that same factory doing the exact same job getting the exact same payment. But I don't mind for I believe that one day I will be able to tell my children about how I was slowly able to dig my family out of poverty. Yet that day has not come yet so I will keep on working until the Sun don't shine no more.
